Received call from 855/415-4897.  Looking for my family member, who has a court date.  Gave me a number for him to call with instructions that this is his lawyers numbers, Rick Sanjess.  Found that a private number with 855/ is used for scams of various types.

got a call from a different number showed local area code the message said to call laura back and speak to David Romero.  called and he wasn't in and she told me i owed a dept of 1100 that now will b going to court for 8k$ if i don't pay or show proof i already settled it. after i told her i paid the debt she was referring to 2yrs ago.

I got the same call with the same message.  These people are scammers

They called about a court date, and presented me with lots of information. I believed them and gave them the amount of money they asked for, just to realize a few hours later that it was a scam. Beware!

If you gave them "the amount of money they asked for" via credit or debit card, cancel the card immediately! Report the fraudulent transaction to the card issuer; you may be able to get your money back.

You don't have to prove you paid the debt, they need to prove you do. If you speak to them again, demand they follow the law by mailing you proof of the debt and that they are legally entitled to collect said debt.
Phone calls, faxes, texts, and emails are not legal methods of debt validation.

Sorry, that should say "they need to prove you owe the debt."
