received text message from this scammer wanting to buy my craigslist item..  and to add extra cash to the item.... total scammer.... notifications.net/90012    wish we can wipe these scammers off the planet....

Forward that text to 7726 (SPAM).

So it appears to be a way to send SMS texts with a computer instead of a cell phone, which can be easily abused by spammers and scammers.
But I haven't tried it to know.
