Calling saying that I have something in collection when I don't have nothing in collection

they said i should call them with something about a civil suite. I don't think so.

Clearly reading from a script--saying I received legal documents and a civil suit will be filed against me. Scam. Don't call back, because then they know they have a good number on you and will sell it to other scammers.

Received a call from this number claiming that  legal proceedings were about to be started against me and that I should pay up or else be ready to respond to summons.

Called back about legal documents being sent, am currently waiting for redelivery in 3 days

What type of company are they representing?

Christopher told me I owed Bank of American $38,000 from 2007???  I told him I didn't have an account with them and he said my son was a co-signer.  Again no account.  He knew everything about me and my son.  I called my attorney and told them about phone conversation and them wanting my credit card and taking 4 payments on it.  Stated this was a scam.

Elliott looking for my sister. Had both married and maiden names. Has a civil lawsuit against her. Ya ok. Then why call me. 🤔

Elliot left a detailed message representing Shaffer & Assoc. on my cell VM asking for my Dad because there was a pending civil suit against him a needed to get information to him. He's been dead for 2.5 years. Then called my wife's cell. I was able to talk with "Elliot". He wasn't the typical teli-marketer or "phisher". I notified him of my Dad's death and he said he would remove our numbers from their list. I called the "7604" number later and talked with "Audrey". She was able to repeat what "Elliot" said and the current updated status. She said the the firm was a nation wide company and couldn't provide an exact address or any further details on who was filing against my Dad so long after his passing. I found them on the BBB... Why didn't they just say they were a collections company instead of a legal firm?... I would have been far less patient and polite!...

UKNOWN CALLER ID, but they left voice mail & a call back number of 855-415-7604.  Very detailed message stating that my number was given as a contact for (an unknown to me) gentleman with my same last name was needed to be reached regarding a pending civil complaint.  Case number given and the whole bit.
