Claim they are a litigation dept and give you a fake court number and bogus info.  When you ask why it's not on your credit report, or why nothing was sent in the mail, they tell you you chose to ignore and not respond.  LOL! Eventually they will call your relatives if that info is on BEEN VERIFIED and try to pull the same scam looking for money so you don't have to go to court.  The info they gave me was identical to the info inteltus has on me.  The last four of my SS and address.  I have since opted out of those sites and I suggest this to others too.  The ned game is if you call back and start fake crying they ask for your bank account number and routing number so they can pay off what you own.  The company they claim to be is not a collector but a company that runs lifeguard training.

Same as the others, shown as a private number, ignored and left a message as the others received. Then called my mom in another state and tried to put the arm on her, too. Special place in hell for people like them.

Got a message looking for my brother-in-law pertaining to a civil litigation matter, lady left name, phone number, case number, etc. and was asked to pass along message. Thank you to everyone that posted, it sounded legit at first.

Lol. i just got a call. they said my mom has a legal issue in king county seattle. i asked them how is that possible. they said they cannot give me the information they need to speak with my mom. so i asked them. so are you going buy her a ticket? because my mom is in the philippines. and they threaten to file a law suit against her.  I told them how is it possible that my mom "A FILIPINO CITIZEN THAT HAS NEVER BEEN IN THE U.S ONCE" cause a legal issue here in the U.S.. 30 sec of silence then they hang up. LOL. be careful. it will sound legit. the wrong thing they did is they were looking for the person.

I just got the same voice  mail and they are using my married name . I have been divorced for over 30 years . I have not used that name for 30 years but say I have legal issues.

The message said from Allison Associates; they have a pending civil complaint in wake County and If i don’t respond within a business day they will proceed with the litigation against without presence. And the thing is they are calling all possible members associated with the same last name in present or in the past. Report this.

Call to my landline stated a pending civil complaint TX194### against my brother needs his immediate response or fees will be imposed.  Even followed up with a text message on my mobile phone but my brother's last name was grossly misspelled.  Knew it was a scam at that point.  Don't return any calls from Ellis & Associates.

My mom contacted me and said a law office was looking for me and even knew my relatives names. She was worried and annoyed when I wasn't worried. I told her there is no one out to get me and if they wanted me for real they would have me served, not only call one time. Then I finally checked my voicemail and had the same message my mom described on my voicemail. Gave me a fake number to reference when I called back. Stated was for a civil complaint against me. Stated they were some law firm, but spoke too quickly to understand.
Why do old people fall for this stuff. Educate your parents not to give into people on the phone. Ugh!!!
