Caller was Tiffany and said she was from National Adjudication Services about a civil case I filed. Nothing of that nature has happened. She wasn’t even sure of her call back number....kinda paused because she didn’t know the next number. Anyway, didn’t call back.

lady Tiffany called me saying I was in collections for a loan debt. A loan I had never got. She had my address wrong when I told her that she didn't know what to say

I got a call from this +1-323-321-6495 and I picked up.  The lady sounded extremey unprofessional.  She said she was from National Adjustment Services.  I asked why she is calling me, she said due to a debt w/ Household Retail.  I said I've never heard of that company.  She said it was a store credit card.  I said what store?  She had no answer, was stuttering, and said she will transfer me to her supervisor.  I said fine.  Her supervisor got on and said I would need to hold while they figured out what this $705.82 was for.  I waiting about 4 minutes.  She came on and was mumbling and said its for Best Buy.  I never had any credit card with Best Buy..so I asked her to send me a copy of the documentation as this is FRAUD and I will report immediately to the CA Attorney General's Office and file a police report.  She then got real antsy and said well you might as well wait till it gets to court.  Huh???
I said no, I want all the paperwork mailed out to me today, I will be purusing this.  At this point, she said you are not going to dicated to me what I should do.  Huh??? Moron con!!! So you call me with a debt, but you  dont want to send any proof or paperwork????  Yeah..real legitimate.  I said why would you refuse to send proof of what you are saying? copies to me?  She hung up, LOLSSSSSSS  THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE!!!! BEWARE!!!  I called back the 1-855-418-0795# she had given me and a lady answered, also very unprofessional sounding and said she is Mediation. I said what company.  Mediation...gotcha!!!  What scumbags.  I've worked in the legal field for 30 yrs....they picked the wrong one...many yrs in Consumer Law.

Tiffany, is RUDE RUDE RUDE !!!!!  Demanding payment on an account that is 20 yrs old. What ??? Not possible at all.  I owe no company any monies. Then I asked please send me proof of this “ bill I owe “. She wants to email it.  What company sends an email ?  Normally it’s sent US Postal mail.  I called to inform her to stop calling me because this is false information.  She threatens me , then disconnects the call.  Great customer service.  If I owed it , I’d be happy to pay but since I don’t call all you want.  You really need to find a better job, you have no class.

The caller called me several times leaving me a voicemail every time. She called 5 minutes apart. Her name was Marie Brooks (if that’s really her name. She was VERY RUDE. She said I had a debt with Victoria Secret (I have never had an account or credit card with them.) She proceeded to tell me I would have an officer arresting me for a debt of $176. This is a bogus number and the people working there are idiots.

Claims debt from a paid bill

A few days ago, a friend of mine told me about a call from a spoofed number, asking him about a debt from 17 years ago. He told them it was written off in a Bankruptcy and questioned the caller why they are trying to collect. The caller said he was just a "mediator" for National Adjudication Services.

After some researching, I found the following information about this phony Debt Collection scam outfit.

I found a SSA scam robo-message from 8 months ago with the same call back number at the same time it was for South West Mediation Group.

Thanks, I add that one to the list of names and see what I can come up with.  So far all I have is an allegedly defunct company in Williamsville, NY.

A mrs chan called and said I had a bill from discover o owed and if I did not pay it immediately that attorneys were going to file suit against me and sue me. I said I do not have credit cards and she said thats not true you last made a payment on it in 2019. I told her that's a lie and it doesn't show up on my credit report and she tried telling me it would not show up on my credit report and that once attorneys have it then it also won't show up on my report until its paid. I called this credit card company and they did research for me and said they have nothing on file. I talked to the banking department and the credit card side and nothing comes up.

Why would you go to all of that trouble when the law says this?

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

A tony davis called stated that i owe hsbc card and the amount was 3,223.00 however they was going to settled it for 1,172.27..She even type up some paper work and email it to me,thats when a red flag went up for me besides that i know i owe knowone..I went a little further in investigating the address which is 4426 hugh howell rd suite b160 tucker ga 30084..A damn ups store even wanted me to make out the money order to a hardy and associates..Also spoke to a marie brooks she was nervous she kept placing me hold after i told her thats not my bill..They are a scammers that need to be arrested.....
