You need a call blocker.  For a land line a call blocker is a programmable electronic box that plugs into the phone line between the phone and the wall.  You can buy one at Best Buy or on Amazon for less than $50.  For a smart phone a call blocker is an ap.  Your phone may come with one, or you can download one.

For a simple cell phone ask your carrier.  Or put the pest in your contacts list and give them the ring tone "no ring" or "silence".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

Robo call, states they are a debt collector...scammer !!! Do not respond to these people, I do not have any outstanding debts! They are blocked on my phone, I do think when they catch on they somehow create new numbers, that's ok because those will be blocked too, number blocking sure is great!

I've blocked numbers in the past and it does not work.  They simply change the number that they show they are calling from.  An example is the payday loan scam artist that love to call me telling me that the pay day loan, that I did not apply for, has been approved, they'll call from one number for awhile then change the name and number that shows on the caller id.  As it is I've blocked all Private Caller calls.  What I normally do is simply turn the ringer off before I go to bed but a good friend was very sick and I didn't want to do that in case she needed help.

They call at all times of the day and night.  When I call back they do not know who I am or why they are calling.  I want it stopped.  I do not have any debt

It sounds like the caller is spoofing the number - making caller ID show a number other than the one they are calling from.  Its not hard to do if you know what you are doing,.

When you call back you are getting the people who really own the number, not the scam callers who spoofed the number.

Do you know what number your friend will call from?  Is she calling your cell?

If your friend is calling your cell or smart phone you can put her in your contacts list and assign her a ring tone.  Before you go to bed change your default ring tone - the ring tone for everyone else - to silence.

I've gotten calls from this number daily Almost. If I don't miss it I reject it, and the robo called isn't even smart enough to wait for the beep before leaving the message; it only leaves the last bit of the message saying to call said number. This has been happening for a while.

Worst part is my phone isn't a smart one and I can't seem to block it.

Invest in a call blocker and do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

You can send them a cease and desist letter.  Send it with a return receipt requested by US mail

Debt collectors regularly ignore the DNC list.  Call blocker is your best bet.

I called them back and they proceeded to tell me that I got a pay day loan, they had my correct bank account number and SS# however when they gave me the dates of the said loan I pulled the bank statement and sent it to them to prove I had not gotten the loan and they are still calling me
