Comcast Scam, Hits my alternate mobile number and NOT my number that i have on file with Comcast, Doesn't known any account info, hung up when i pressed him for such and on callback got the EXACT same person (Broken English and all)

Similar experience.  When I asked why they didn't identify themselves as Comcast (after they told me they were comcast when I asked) they hung up on me.

I got a vmail but didn't return the call because it seemed suspicious.

We made an Xfinity call for a technician and no later than 30 minutes the 855-433-2886 called trying to get information. Do NOT give any info call Xfinity immediately.

I scheduled an appointment with a technician. 30 mins later I am getting calls claiming they can help me with the issues that I am experiencing with my cable box.  They did ask for my personal information and I did hang up. Please do not get scammed people.

I got two phone messages from 855 433 2886.
The first was a message, the second was blank.
Woman, USA accent:
"lo I'm calling the scheduled appointment
for the issue you've reported to Comcast."
Please call us back at 1 855 433 2886.
Again that number is 1 855 433 2886.
We look forward to hearing from you,
and thank you for chosing Comcast."

I called.  They did NOT RECOGNIZE MY PHONE NUMBER.
A woman with an Indian accent.  They asked for my name.
I said I could not verify that they were valid and hung up.

Call real comcast number.

800 266 2278 is 800 comcast.  Apparently both are valid
since I use the comcasts number all the time.

I've had this happen to me 3 times in the past week. Had a Comcast tech come out last Friday, on Thursday had someone attempt to get info about our Comcast account, something in my gut felt something was off. Told him I couldn't help him, got snippy with him & hung up.

Our problem with our Comcast internet isn't resolved, spent hours on the phone yesterday only to say they want another tech to come out. As others have said within half hour someone pretending to call from Comcast to "try to diagnose our problem" called. I told him I didn't have time for a scammer & hung up. Just got another call. They really don't give up.

I called comcast to set and appointment and a little over and hour went by and this number called and left a voicemail saying, "Hello I'm calling regarding the scheduled appointment for the issue you reported to Comcast please call us back at 1-855-433-2886 again that number is 1-855-433-2886 we look forward to hearing from you and thank you for choosing Comcast…”. I called and the person answered not saying who they work for and asked me for my information. I then hung up. Didn't seem right.

Similar to above, got a voicemail from this number soon after seeking comcast help.

I answered. Absolute silence form the other end. I waited for them to respond to my hello, eventually they just hung up. Never said a word, never identified themselves.

Received call saying they would help resolve Comcast problem. Seemed sketchy. Hung up and Googled the number. Known scam number.
