Received a message on my answering machine saying I was named in a lawsuit (CR722-265) and to call 855-436-6552 ext 412 by 3pm (local) to establish payment schedule or face additional costs. My first call was disconnected at first ring. Second call was answered by a very aggressive woman, no name offered. I had to repeatedly ask for a company name - Litigation Office of Imperial Processing. I asked to be connected to ext. 412, she accused me of being angry(!?) & wouldn't connect me. She said ext. 412 is their legal department & wanted to know why I was calling. Told her I was responding to voice message. She offered to help, but couldn't provide details because she was not authorized to discus my case. She found the file with my name, wanted to verify my address, first one she read to me was wrong; second was correct. She said a local investigator had been assigned and a summons issued. I told her I had not spoken to an investigator and had not received a summons. She wanted to verify my SSN - I refused.  She read read the "last four" of their target, I confirmed they were not mine. She said "don't worry about it".

Fake court summons and call to schedule time to be served with papers?! Do not call #1 855 436 6552. Scam!!!
