Just got a call from this number and told them I do not give medical information over the phone. Very strong Jamaican accent boy they must think we are stupid.

I got a call from this number to ask some information about my membership with Florida Blue. Felisha (that was the name she gave me) said that the purpose was to know about my medical needs. Had my SS number and wanted more information about me. Gave her my birthdate and realize that could be another company that had nothing to do with Florida Blue.

I received a call from this number. The caller ID indicated it was Florida Blue. However, this was a nurse employed by RSA Medical calling on behalf of Florida Blue with follow up questions on my recent application. I answered her questions and then I got a little uneasy about the call and called the local Florida Blue Center to confirm this was a legitimate call. They confirmed that this was being done by Florida Blue to further meet the needs of its members. Actually, it felt like borderline fishing for pre-existing conditions which, according to OBAMA Care, is illegal. Makes you wonder.....

Got a call from these people. She had my ss#. couldn't sleep last night thinking it must be a scam. What do they do with this information?

 I received a call also from this number to verify medical history for FL Blue. However, I was suspicious because the call came in at unavailable. She then gave me FL Blue's phone number to call to verify the authenticity of the call. The number was a good number. These are hired telemarketers by  FL Blue to call new patients to get them into their system. I did tell the lady it would be assuring if FL Blue name would show to give the person being called some type of assurance.

Got a call from that number also. same thing, they had SS# and a lot of details from my FB insurance
date of birth etc.. and wanted to do a review of my health history. Told the guy I did not want to do it and that was that. Honestly, whoever at Florida Blue came up with this idea of having some company call FB members out of the blue, ask them to confirm SS#, date of birth etc.. and  start asking them questions about their health history has no understanding at all of marketing, project management, public relations or people. We are only the few that take the time to write about this, imagine how many more got the same call and are now completely worried as to if this is a scam, phishing attempt or anything else in the same line. If this is legit, what is your impression of Florida Blue after that call? How much would it had cost Florida Blue to send a letter by mail or email to inform members that this call would come and the purpose of it? This is your premium $s at work here. The whole thing just has a very creepy feel about it, legit or not.

Got an email and a couple of calls about this. I'm thinking it's a BAD idea to give them a bunch of info to "further meet the needs of members" which is very nebulous at best. This sounds like a convenient way to gather a list of pre-existing conditions just in case the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") is changed or repealed. They have given me no good reason to tell them my complete medical history. My physicians can have that info, but a for-profit insurance corporation should not.

I keep getting calls from this number 855-456-3430 but I don't answer the calls. I am very disheartened and disgusted that Florida Blue has hired this company and given them my name and personal information without my permission to garner further information about my medical history. I will be calling Florida Blue to let them know they don't have my permission to give out my personal information to a company doing a "survey" for them.

I believe according to the patient medical privacy act that what Florida blue has done and is doing is illegal.

This is just one more potential risk of my identity to be compromised.by my information being shared with yet another company.

Big business has got to be stopped in this country from bending the rules and acting only in their own behalf.

I spoke to the RSA Medical guys today.  The calls I received from these folks were not "out of the blue" for me, because I did get an email informing me that the survey would be happening.  I really didn't mind telling the guy all about my ailments, but I object to having my time wasted.  I could have just as easily filled out all that information via the mail or online in about 15 minutes or less.  Even on the phone, I could have rattled off my illnesses and drugs in a matter of minutes.  Instead, I wound up spending nearly 45 minutes explaining everything over and over and over and over again to some clueless kid reading off some computer screen.  Moreover, at the very least, FB knows what drugs I am taking, because my pharmacy has been submitting claims.  The bad news is that I'm pretty much stuck with Florida Blue.  I have to buy my own insurance, and the truly affordable policies on the Obamacare exchange are mostly Florida Blue, and not much else.

Most of the posts below are completely right on target. Florida Blue has apparently hired a 3rd party medical information gathering company to call new enrollees but for what purpose, I have no idea. "Phong", with an Asian accent, called me and I said, I only ever do business directly with the company (Florida Blue), or prefer hard copy mail, or email. He answered that Florida Blue doesn't do that, so suggested I call Blue to verify he was legit. Then Phong gave me a "chart number" and said I should call back after verification. And I said "thank you" hung up and forgot about the call. Frankly, this is [***]. If FL Blue wants information from me, they can bloody well pick up the phone and call me directly. But alas - they don't seem to have much problem debiting my account $520.00 a month for my health premium! Even from a more practical standpoint, what makes Florida Blue think that people are comfortable responding to a telemarketer sounding company??

These people have been calling and calling for weeks, several times a day with "Important information about my FL Blue account".  I returned the first call, got someone wanting to ask personal questions and I said I had no time.  Yet they still keep calling and calling and I no longer answer.

If this company was legit, they would at least have a Caller ID, not "Unavailable".

Very polite...but also felt uncomfortable giving information..she said she understood and would take me off the list.

Left voice message claiming to be from Florida Blue. Needed to speak with me ASAP. Left a call back number of 855-465-3430 and a reference number. I am going to call the 1800 number on my insurance card to report this.

I received a voicemail to call this number and was given a reference number regarding my insurance policy. I called Blue Cross and the MarketPlace (where my insurance was issued) regarding this number. Neither company said they were aware of this caller and I should not give out personal information... The MarketPlace advised they have everything they require. Looking up the number left on voicemail it comes up with Rocco Salviola & Associates/RSA Medical - not going to return the call.
