I got a call from someone claiming to be from a company called location services that had a local phone number telling me to call this 855 465 6811 with a reference number because they had a civil claim against me. He told me that they would be at my house between the hours of 3 to 5 the next day to serve me the papers, but if I had any questions or needed to reschedule the dropping off of the papers I could call the 855 number and have me a reference number. I called and they said their company name was rcs capital. It all sounded like a scan. So i told them they had the wrong number and won't think about it again.

Was it from John ward?

Said his name was John Ward from a locations service courier. Said he had paperwork for me to sign from a suit against me. Gave me the number 8554656811 and a reference number. Said he would deliver the paperwork to me on Monday between the hours of 3 and 5. If I had any questions or needed to rescedule, I should call the number provided.

REAL process serves do NOT warn you.  If a summons was actually issued, you could NOT talk or buy way out of it.Think scare tactic.

This one said his name was Paul Moreno from RCS Capital location services with papers that needed to be signed so official papers could be served.  Had a 666 number that was not a number at all and now calls from a local number that no one answers.  Says he will be here between 3-5 today.  Ready to report to sheriff for harassment.

So, what ended up happening? Did they show up? I received a voicemail just today from this same individual on my cell, my son-in-law’s cell and my parents’ landline threatening the same thing. I already filed a report online with the FTC. I don’t want to get scammed, but I also don’t want to get into trouble. I didn’t call him back because I feel certain it’s a scam and I don’t want them to continue.

Nothing happened. This is a scam. REAL process servers don't call in advance and they don't give you the option to pay your way out of being served. Block and ignore such calls.
