H&R Calling to set up my Tax Identity Shield Protection. Legit number but wound up calling my local office to be sure since I swore my Protection was taking care of after filing. They said everything was approved and was just an automatic call when you sign up for it. Best to call your local office to be safe and avoid signing up again.

Got the call from h and r block. Wanting info for tax protection. Think it is a scam

Got a call on my cellphone today. Did not answer the call, since I did not recognize the #. They left a voicemail stating it was H&R block for fraud protection. I did not call them back. I think it is a scam, because I took care of this when I had my taxes done & was told I did not have to do anything else to be protected.

I called H&R Block and requested they verify the phone#,   They did, it check out.   The number is not H&R Block it is te number for their Tax ID Shield

The caller had left me two messages indicating they were with H & R block protection shield. I did pay for protection shield with H & R Block. He instructed me that documents will come in the mail and ever had  I am to send it into the IRS. The IRS will give me a pin number. He asked me several questions if I my purse stolen. He did ask for my last for digits of my SS#. I asked him what was his name Sydney. I asked him where this call was coming from, Missouri.

I received the same Robocall today claiming to be from H&R Block's Tax Identity Shield.  I did not answer since I didn't recognize the phone number.  I was suspicious of the call so I went through our tax documents.  The letter that I have from H&R Block's Tax Identity Shield says that if you have any questions or need more information you should visit www.MyBlock.com or call 1-800-696-3400.  This 855 # sounds bogus to me!

This is most likely spoofed caller ID, call H&R directly. Never give out info on cold calls.

I am also an H&R Block employee and this is not a fraudulent number.  If you get a call from this number they are just trying to help you set up your identity shield protection.

This number left a voicemail. This is not H&R Block Tax Service.... it's their TAX IDENTITY SHIELD service. As this point I'd have to say not a scam.

Same message here on my cell. I didn't answer, and I'm not calling back. It may not be a scam, but I don't believe any legitimate business would call and ask for personal information.

Most likely a spoofed number being used for a scam. Asked for personal info. Told me she had all the info in front of her. Called local office they said it all was already completely set up.

1-855-472-8657 is a Valid number from Block Advisors Tax Identity Shield. I have the paperwork right in front of me that they sent me after I signed up for the Tax Identity Shield Program.  The number again is 1-855-472-8657.

Just got a call from this number, they never left a message, also I'm already set up for Fraud Protection from H&R Block! I thought that they don't give out my number

I've had fraud protection from HRBlock for years and this number never called me before plus today they never left a message.

Received same call states H&R block wants me to call back between 8 & 5:30 pm CST I have never received call from this number for setting up account

Phone rang, CID displayed "TOLL FREE CALL" I pressed the "block now" button on my call blocker box as I always do for "TOLL FREE CALL"s. If it was really H&R block the CID would display it as H&R block.
