- CCIf Microsoft "was" doing this - or from any other company - they will send you an email. Between "we're getting pings from your computer" to "your Microsoft will be turned off," these people are working whatever angle they may think people will fall for. Just be aware - use common sense.

- HannahReceived a recorded message today saying that my Microsoft Windows license had expired, and therefore, Microsoft had locked me out of Microsoft Windows. The woman recording robot said I needed to call Microsoft immediately at 855-476-3452 to have my key code renewed. I keep a file on everything. So, I pulled my Microsoft account folder and noticed the number I used in the past to do business with Microsoft was not the same number. Because I did not recognize the number, I looked up on Google this 855 number and then on 800notes.com. My suspicion was correct. It was a spam call. I never answer or return calls with numbers I do not recognize. I always look up and research the number, and then usually end up blocking that number. It always pays to look up a number you don't recognize before deciding to respond back.
