They said that they where calling for Bayside, about an up coming procedure.  Wanted my date od birth, and the last 4 digits of my ss#.  Also what insurance I have.  If it was really the Bayside they would already have my info.

This number is legit, it's for preregistration at Bayfront Hospital, Kathy is incorrect

Question: Why did you look up a known phone number?

It may be that he is part of a team of scammers that are going to start spoofing this number and he is here to try to make their calls seem legitimate.
Seems like spoofing was happening when Kathy posted 3 1/2 years ago.

As we know, just because a number belongs to a legitimate company, it does not mean that calls displaying that number are coming from them.

I will be interesting to see if there is a sudden increase in posts from people getting calls from this number, especially since this appears to be a number intended for incoming calls (as indicated by the two pages that MikeHuntleton posted).

This number called me and said they were calling from my local hospital to pre-register for an upcoming procedure. I certainly don’t think that the same phone number is used by hospitals in multiple states. This has to be some sort of scam, but how are they getting our information?

They called me asked for my info and said they needed 4,200 up front for my surgery.  Thank God I said I would call back. After thinking about it and researching it has to be a scam.

I've had this number call me multiple times and leave messages saying they were from Venice Regional. The first two messages were super vague and sounded scammy, so I ignored them. Today's said they needed to preregister me for a procedure. Pre-register?? Caller ID says it's East Grga Reg calling. Ever message sounded like they were reading a script.

This call came from a 0 0 0 0 0 0 number and they left a message I listened to the message and they wanted me to call the 855-481-8677 in reference to an upcoming procedure at seven Rivers hospital in Crystal River Florida and they gave me a three digit code to give them when I call them back so they will know what the call was in reference to it just sounded too strange. It's getting so bad that you don't know if your incoming calls are legit or not. I called the number and it sounded very scammy and I hung up

First call was from 855-481-8677, they left a message to call back. Second call was from the hospital number so I answered but the line was cut off. Third call from the hospital number I answered and no-one spoke so I hung up. I called the hospital number back and they said they hadn't called. Another call I got from the hospital number and they left a message to call the 855-481-8677 number back. The message used the hospital's old name, they have changed their name and I figured if it was the actual hospital the correct name would be used so I'm ignoring.  Besides I have already registered for my surgery.

855 481 8677 they keep calling but I don’t answer. I’m not due for any surgery so based upon what I’ve read here it is a scam.
