- KJust received a call from Barbara Goodspeed saying she was from Merchant Services and wanted to recover fees from PCI compliance. Barbara gave me a fax number of 855 725 9988 and phone # 855 482 8066 x1. Barbara didn't like it when I began to question her. Barbara insisted I fax now and she will hang on the line. I gave her NOTHING. Very suspicious

- Vicki IsomWas told me she is Merchant Services. And I was over charged and should have received a credit. Well nothing showed up in account and no emails. Ask me to go in to my account and read my statement. Couldn't find anything.

- Shawna replies to SarahI got the same call, same number and extension, same person wanting our credit card fee statements. Saying that we would be out of compliance if we didn't have her look at our statements.
- Donna Wilson's NemesisGot a call from this number around 4pm on Friday. She asked for someone in charge of the companies financials and I proceeded to state that would be me. She had a hard time grasping that I, also a woman, would be in such a position and attempted to "test" my abilities. Unfortunately, that would only be the first and smallest insult she threw my way. She continued to scoff at me when I asked where exactly she was calling from so I could actually answer her questions, if it was a legit matter. Found it suspicious she wouldn't know who exactly she was working for, but nonetheless tried to remain professional if it was a real financial concern given the intensity of her tone. Alas, she would make it seemingly impossible to actually have a conversation with her that went two ways. It became her trying to ramble nonsense at me until I believed whatever she was talking about had to be legit and way above my skill level. Sorry, Donna, I too BS for a living - I know the strategy. She became so frustrated with my interjections about "So you're calling from the state about COVID relief funds?" or "What is the name of my business?" and of course, "If it's that serious, why not have an agent send an official document in writing so that we can legally investigate the financials in concern?" She responded with raising her voice, continuing her oblique and undefined narrative: "THIS IS A REAL BUSINESS AND WE ARE CALLING TO INFORM YOU IF YOU ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH US WE WILL REPORT IT AS SUCH AND HAVE YOU SHUT DOWN! IF YOU ARE THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF FINANCIALS YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT SO PLEASE CONNECT ME WITH THE OWNER." I proceeded to tell her, tell me what it is exactly that you need. She started swearing at me, saying she was a credit/debit card processor and works both with Visa and Mastercard and that if I wanted to continue my company's use of the card processing machine I would need to pull up my previous statements, etc. I continued to ask her what that had to do with the COVID Relief funds and how that would present any fees. She was practically fuming at this point as I continued to point out how her script was so jumbled it wouldn't even make sense to a vulnerable business owner, making it absolutely impossible to be a legit company as most companies of such would at least have a name and access to this information themselves. She threatened me with not being in compliance over and over again, even when I asked her if she even knew the name of the business she would be reporting as non compliant and to whom? When I asked her if she worked for the technology company of our card processor she said yes, and then as I stated their were no issues with the machine and we would not need support she started the "COVID Relief" and "Fee" spiel up again and I told her if we needed support with our card processor or POS, we'd call the number listed on it which was not this 855-482-8066 number. She was absurdly offended I had wasted her time, and when I told her to take me off the call list for said scam, she screamed slurs and hung up. Touché, Ms. Wilson. Despite your efforts to convince me you work for a merged Visa & Mastercard platform (how incredible! who would have thought!) and tried to gaslight me into feeling stupid with your tone and mannerisms similar to the SNL Cowbell skit, you only proved to me you didn't know which scam you'd be using with me and which one you thought I'd fall for.

- SUSANReceived a phone call from Ms. Washington stating they needed a copy of my last merchant statement to compare the prices as we were getting over charged with fees. When I tried to get her to verify any of the information on the statement such as accounts (which if we were being overcharged they should have the account number in reference. She kept insisting I e-mail her the last statement. I wouldn't do it unless she could give something to verify the account.

Of course you'll want to "cut off" any access to your accounts by contacting your bank and letting them know.
