a woman called lying about some funds that we don't have with her company

I have received calls in the past few days but this number never leaves a message.

Received a call from this number this afternoon. No message so I know it's not a company I deal with and/or a friend of mine. Glad I wasn't around to catch the call.

Any calls that come from "Not Provided" are not answered.  Received a call today at 1:15 - no message - so no reason to answer or call back.

Got a call around 10am, didn't  answer, no message left.

Call came to my cellphone at 8 PM yesterday.  Glad I did not hear it.  No ID, no message.

Why the hell do we bother with this when the government and phone companies don't give a damn?

Didn't pick up. no caller ID. no message left.

Yet another apparently telemarketing or scam call? Since I don't recognize the number, I don't take the call. No vm...

I answered. They asked for a person with the same name as mine, but with a name of a spouse and a different address. I told them they had the wrong number.

CID says UNAVAILABLE. Did not answer. No message left.

It was a call from Federated Investor Services reminding me to mail in my proxy for a fund that I own.  Apparently, it's a legitimate call, as I have not yet returned my proxy (and can't imagine it making any difference one way or the other).

Federated Investor Services calls my phone continuously.  I wish they would stop the incessant calling.

One time I accidentally answered their call and they asked for me by my correct name.  I would not give out any information, including whether they reached the correct person.

I checked the web and found several websites that indicated this company was conducting valid business.

A draft is on file with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) describes the proxy vote and has a draft of various solicitation scripts from Broadridge for an August 6th proxy vote. Apparently they will have to restart the process if there are not enough votes. You can check the following sec.gov webpage for the (855) 486-7902 phone number and to check whether the solicitation script they used to contact you sounds familiar:

If possible, could somebody find out which funds require the proxy vote?

I am not so sure that this is scam.  But I stay vigilant and skeptical.
