This is the number that came up on my computer screen when my computer crashed, purportedly working for Microsoft (showed the Windows logo). I assumed it was going to be a ransom situation. I'm still skeptical about how this Indian-accented man knew that I needed help, but after two days and WATCHING him work on my computer remotely (terrible idea) for several hours, I don't think so. He registered me into the Wondershare recovery App ($59) and through Sky Tech being paid through my paypal account ($100), I now have 500 recovered photos and 100 documents that were lost (over 1 million files were recovered, but most I had no interest in). I have monitored and re-secured all my financial sites religiously, and there is no unusual acitivity. Unless he was the one who crashed my computer in the first place, this seems to be legit. Microsoft informed me that they never contact anyone regarding computer problems, so my only explanation is that someone at Microsoft may give out that kind of information to someone (a friend) wanting to make money. ??? Hope this helps!

My husband's computer froze up when he went to Google this afternoon.  This toll free number was provided for us to use to clear the problem.  After them asking for numerous information, I could not verify an any form that this was a valid Microsoft phone number and hung up on the man with an Indian accent.  If I cannot verify this is from Microsoft, I do not want to give out information.

This 1-855-494-5474 is linked to (https://www.webcreativepixel.com/facebook-customer-service/) and their direct number is 562-314-4340. They DO FRAUD. When you call them, it is full of INDIAN people in its office. They promised me to retrieve my facebook password back, but they need to verify something first. They will ask you to buy 2 $25 Google play cards and reveal the Card IDs to them. After that they will tell you that it is more complicated than normal. Then they will ask you to buy more cards (sets of $100). Thank for Google Play that allows me to claim the unauthorized purchases. I finally got my money back.

Same thing is happening to me. I found this phone number 888 482 4424 on facebook for customer service. So of course I called. My facebook account has been disabled. Same story, the guy wants me to go to the store to buy a Google play card for 50.00. And he wanted me to stay on the phone with him as I drove to the store, thru the store... Then give him the code on the back of the card to prove ip address and my location. I told him that he knew all of that and why waste time and money when he already knew my info...Well, I didn't do it. Plus, I've never heard of any customer service be so helpful. I've lost my facebook account and don't know how to get it back. I wish facebook really did have customer support.

The send me an email acting like it was amazon. They told me my order for a laptop was on its way. I never bought that laptop so i called the number they gave me which was 855-494-8474 to tell them that i didn’t buy that. It was an Indian accented man and he told me to download this app called “ connectwise” so he could see my phone screen on his device. He saw all of my account information :). He also wanted to do something with “moonpay”.
