Yes, it's a SCAM big time. But it's aimed at old folks (more trusting than most) or others who may be unfamiliar with computer scams. They don't know your computer operating system or who you are. They just put out millions of robocalls hoping a small percentage will reply and pay them.

The bot was not clear. I knew it was a scam, this is not the first time. They've tried before. we should call them with the same kind of scam.

Yep, same fake Microsoft security warning about microsoft windows "services".  Joke's on them.  My personal computers have been all Mac since 1989.  Being a curious soul I called them back.  Phone was answered "microsoft windows support" in a very heavily accented customer service voice.

It's always funny when someone declares "There oughta be a law!" As if laws magically make people obey them.

They left a callback number? Let the fun begin! If you are bored call them back with bogus info! Pretend to be old ( or like me I’m already in that category) and hard of hearing! Wasting their time is one less senior citizen scammed! Yet probably not long before they change their # and tactic. There are YouTube posters showing how they scam a scammer. Some are quite funny!
