While the ID came up as Unavailable this number belongs to NGR an energy company that we used to deal with, but switched back to a local provider. At least they left a message that we don't have to reply to if we aren't interested!

However in looking up the number others have complained that the number given to call this company isn't reliable:
"1-855-500-8703 doesn't seem to be working... how do I talk with customer service?"

    Also this 'review' was found:
This number comes to NRG Residential Solutions mailing address PO Box 38781 Philadelphia, PA 19104. 1-855-500-8703. (There is no brick and morter building that I could find on them or where there offices are located here in IL or PA.) It's just a scam...said it was ok they could still do the switch with out the real person who's name is on the bill!  This person has to: 'Now I have to call the Power Company to make sure that there are no changes made to my bill!'

Just a tad too aggressive for my liking. Even if they claim to have bonuses to switch back along with lower rates. Not going to mess with them again.

This time this energy switch company NRG, didn't leave a message.
If someone switches away from them they just don't want to take no for an answer.
Maybe a blow horn in their ear next time?

With the deregulation of Utilities every company can now bombard you with their offers. So being on the DNC list will not help in this situation.

Yet another nitwit, who believes in the air horn/whistle myth.

Had similar experience. Once my initial 3 months low rate expired, they almost tripled the rate within 2 months.
When I called, they said needed to call each time before 3 months expires.
They know most people won't do that and this is a scam pricing strategy to charge exorbitant uncompetitive rates! Beware
