A screen I'm having a difficult time removing from my computer popped up and states Im to call this number for further assistance! I'm wondering if it's legit or some hoax?

This is a scam. They put a virus on your computer. They want you to pay them to remove it.

There is NO VIRUS on your computer placed there by these Indian scammers!...unless, of course you're dumb enough to ask for their "Help" and let them access your computer....I love to play with these idiots...Just tonight "Jordan" answered my call...I said well, that's a nice Biblical name..he didn't know of what I was speaking and I told him don't blaspheme my religion by calling himself "Jordan"...To release your frozen webpage, press Ctrl, Alt, Del at the same time, click on Task Manager, click on End Task, when you're free Do Not restore pages or you will be Disney Frozen again...Happy Surfing!
