Scam. Says they’re going to file legal action against you. No company is mentioned just a callback number.

Scam, someone called from a spoofed number local to my cell #.  A live human LVM saying to call a law firm about a lawsuit being filed against me.  No mention of fair debt collection practices/call is to collect a debt, no mention of the Law Firm's name.  I have no past due accounts on my credit profile.

I received the same exact call and story from the same number. Was there any follow up by them? Did any documents get delivered? And is there anything else I should know?

Same here. What are you doing about this?

Can't find any such law firm or business under that name. Only 1 came up in a search and it is in the U.K.
The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Same as others…first received a call from a toll free number.  Answered it and they asked if they could speak with “my name” I said speaking.  She then proceeded to tell me I needed to be served papers and they tried and couldn’t.  I questioned her.  She immediately accused me of being rude and hung up on me.  I block the number.  Almost immediately I got a “no caller i.d.” And the left a message to call 855-513-5147 and threatened legal action against me.  No company name just a fictitious “case #.” This is a SCAM!!

Yep, definitely a scam. Real process servers don't call in advance.

The # 855-513-5147 called my son and told him I needed to call them about papers being served on me...I was not even called direct. Be careful out there everyone.

Valling about a so called claim being filed against me with a pending lawsuit.

Scam call, left a voicemail indicating there was a lawsuit being filed against me when I know for certain I have no debts nor owe anyone or any company any money. Do not respond to call.

Left me a voice mail with the same message except the voice mail was for my father who died in 2015.

They called and said a file was given to their office possible legal action against me... They are a scam and are using scare tactics to get me to call them not going to do it
