Same as above, couldn't get rid of POPUP, called number, gave access to my computor and shown a whole bunch of errors , etc.. and was given a case number and told 3 things needed to be done: detect all the 3rd parties, reinstall all the services & update, and remove all the errors, warnings and 3rd parties.  Had to call back that nite at this number 1-800-576-9647 and the guy who answered (Brian) said he couldn't open the case number (the machine was broken).  Okay, grew suspicious, and said Good Bye and hung up.  WTF ????
    • Caller: Remax Support or somethng like that.

Consider your computer hacked. Once someone has that kind of access to your computer, they can put any software they want on it, including malicious software, and also copy any of your personal information off your computer.

Unplug your computer from the Internet, and find someone local with a good reputation for cleaning malware off computers. Or just buy another one and start over.

You don't say you gave payment information, but if you did, you need to close whatever accounts are associated with that payment information, and get new accounts. This could mean new checking account, new debit card, new credit card, depending on what information you gave them.

That 800-number has a couple of posts so far
    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-576-9647

and when Googled, appears on at least three websites that purport to provide support for computers and software, and also for a freight broker. Trust none of them.

Bunch of dickbags pretending to be Microsoft support taking over your web browser. Press ctrl+alt+delete, open task manager, kill the browser, and then call the number and tell them to pound sand.
