This number was on a Geek Squad scam Email. I knew it was a scam right away because I don't use Geek Squad

I got an email yesterday from Geek Squad about subscription renewal. Included this phone number 855-527-2753 and from email address: thomaspiper658@gmail.com. I new it was scam, never had a business with them.

Yep.. they sent me a scam email telling me it was Geek Squad and that I had purchased $299.90 and if there was a problem to call them at this number I did not I knew it was a scam

Received an email regarding a subscription renewal from Geek Squad.  I never purchased anything from them nor would I spend that much.  This phone number was left in the email in case I wanted to upgrade or cancel.  The email even included a pdf of the supposed invoice.  I did not download.  Glad I checked before calling the number to scream on them.  This pandemic has brought out even more scammers.

Same experience. Renewal notice for 299.00.  I called and the said only they can removed remotely from my computer. He told me to give him my number and he will call me back. I checked the email and it was from davidsmiy544@gmail.com.  You can't even download the bogus invoice they claim is attached.

email scam scam stated purchase from GEEK SQUAD no purchase made !!

Received email about renewing a subscription in the amount of $299 purporting to be from Geek Squad.
I had just actually made an auto parts purchase from Geek Squad.

Wanted me in front of a computer to "cancel". Believe it to be a scam.

Thank you for confirmation that this is a phishing scenario.  I too received a bogus email from Geek Squad saying I purchased a computer for $299.

Just received an email from this number. Total scam. I called them right away and they want info which I did not give. Geek squad renewal for 279.00.. never used them!!!
