They called my parents house (with whom I do not even live), how they got that number is beyond me, and stated this was my one and only notice.  Very rude on the message, left a reference number stating they needed to verify my SSN.  SCAMMERS!!!!

I got a call from this number this morning. Did not answer but called the number back. They said their company name is Cornerstone, working in arbitration. They asked me to verify my SSN, which I refused. They then got mad and sad they were taking me to court.

Why do people think you are to give up your SSN on demand when so much identity theft is happening?!!!

Calling saying from Cornerstone Mediation that I had a payday loan. (Never had one). Asking to verify information and I owed $500.00. Truly believe it's a scammer.

I work at Cornerstone and we have never scammed one person. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. And as far a social security #'s are concerned: We are provided them already, we ask the consumer to recite the last 4 to verify the persons identity so we are not breaking any disclosure laws. If you disagree with the information then contact the office and we can figure out where it originated from and try to solve the issue. Posting false information online about the company is not doing anything but hurting the chances for those who acknowledge their outstanding issues when it comes to getting them resolved civilly. I'm am here personally to field your complaints and do the best i can to get to the bottom of them. Sorry again for your "less than perfect" experience.

Well Nick, you can help your company by simply posting their physical address, business license number(s) & the states your licensed, and bonded, to legally collect debt in. Somehow I won't be surprised when you fail to provide a single bit of verifiable information. You see Nick, we see you scumbags trying to collect on PDLs here all the time. We know what you are, we know how you operate. You are the lowest of the low.
All we ever have to do is tell people to familiarize themselves with the FDCPA. Once they do that, they know that you are required to mail them (NOT e-mail or fax.) a full and complete notice of validation, as described under federal regulation, within 5 business days of your initial contact with them. As a "compliance coordinator" I'm sure you're already very aware of your responsibilities. And you don't like the fact that your targets are being informed of them either. I'm sure we'll be hearing more from your targets....and that none of them will report receiving a damn thing in the mail from your little shop of thieves.
Being a second rate collector in search of PDL victims proves that you're a bottom feeder. You most likely have no legitimate title to a single valid debt. Just a cheap portfolio of names and info. Bargain basement BS that's worth less than the file its sitting in. You pray that you're targets are clueless & naïve. You hope that if they were foolish enough to apply for a PDL then they might be foolish enough to buy in to your smoke-blowing threats & ridiculous claims of legitimacy.
Prove me wrong Nick. Post up that information. We'll be waiting.....

Its funny you mention that Gunnar, any time anyone asks for something in writing it is almost always provided. I don't know what kind of company you think this is or what you think we do but if there is a debt that is not owed we simply advise to look into it further. We don't threaten people, if an employee were to ever cross that line we hope it would be brought to our attention so that employee can be reprimanded. When the claims are forwarded to our office we are always under the impression that the claim has been validated - each of which is notarized before it gets here. Sounds like you are just another person with nothing better to do but scour the internet looking for things to complain about. Why don't you find something else to do it instead of hanging out on 1-800 notes all day, you are all over it.
What also gets me is that you haven't talked to us or anything and yet still can make these accusations. I looked you up Gunnar and you are even writing negative things about Legitimate collection agencies saying they are scammers, its your MO. I will not respond to anything else you say or do. I just hope people stop listening and reading your repetitive nonsense. Let me guess, you just copied and pasted that from the other 845 web sites you visited earlier today? Please find your purpose...

We feel we do have a valid complaint when third party debt collectors refuse to validate debts upon request, which has been a law of the land since 1977:

What information does a debt collector have to give me about the debt?

Any debt collector who contacts you claiming you owe payment on a debt is required by law to tell you certain information about the debt. That information includes the name of the creditor, the amount owed, and how you can dispute the debt or seek verification of the debt.  If the debt collector doesn’t provide that information in the initial contact with you, the debt collector is required to send you a written notice including that information within five days of the initial contact.

We provide validation for everyone who asks, never once denied anyone of that information. Which is why you shouldn't accuse people of something unless you can prove it. We have done nothing wrong and will continue to help those who seek it. The ones who usually have complaints are people who are looking for the easy way out which is unfortunately what is wrong with this country. Everyone wants to sue everyone for everything these days. Its a shame, but we most certainly never have taken money from someone without making sure they know what they are paying for. We would never use any of the information provided for any other reason than its intended purpose. This is my final statement regarding this matter, i wish i had more time to go on all day.

My last response to you was timed out. That happens. It happens when I become too verbose in my responses. Or if the admin. doesn't want to nail me with a PDM. I'm used to it.
What it means Nick is that you're full of...it. You don't want to anger me & J. knows that it really wouldn't be in your best interest to do so. I love her dearly.
You really don't want to anger me Nick. I'm kind of "special". Yes, that "short bus" kind of special. Except that the short bus is owned by people that want to run inconspicuously & the riders are clad in uncomfortable wear & carry .357 Sigs. Yeah Nick, do your homework.

I am also sorry you do not have more time here.  You have only begun to dig that deep hole for yourself.  I guess you missed the part where you were asked for an address & other company information.
