I have been getting calls from this number threating me about bringing me to court and so own about a collection. I told Them I spoke to a laywer and they freaked out on me. I spoke with state attorney and they told Me not to give them any money. No colector can ever threaten you with jail or court it is illegeal for then to do so and it is more then likely a scam. !!!

collection agency have the right to take to civil court and give u a low credit rating if they are first party companies....depends on the type of debt it could be consider fraud which is crimnal...... some companies dont take the time to do so but there are some that do... if u dont care about your record or credit then thats on you...

I've had the same problem, but they are stating that I'm a person named someone's case, they have stopped calling for a few months, this morning another call.  The company is called Creditors, a Ms Brown keeps calling.  Every time I call, they always put me on hold, it's really annoying, how do I stop the calls.

I have been threatened that I will go to jail over a 800 dollar loan that I am willing to make payments on...But they want it all at once.
