How do people get away with threatening you with legal action when there IS NO case of any kind against you?  This is awful and needs to STOP!

They "get away with it" the same way a robber, burglar, bank thief, or murderer gets away with it.  They don't get caught.

Called yesterday and today same message as above but today added that if unable to locate they will file failure to appear. Worried since wa state allows pocket filing judgements against debtors so even though my debt is considered comunity discharged under husbands bankruptcy and all future comunity assets are protected from judgement I may not have the chance to respond to it of judgement is made without my knowledge if court date. Have no money for a lawyer and all garnishments should be exempt but i seem to always get screwed without legal knowledge to fight it. If bank freezes my account it will result in unpaid medical Bill's which will turn into more collections and it starts all over again. I thought having ovarian cancer would be the hardest part but the fallout of financial hardships that follow are going to kill me first

Once again someone is worried about paying a lawyer when in fact you have already paid him/her.  Further, when you file an FDCPA lawsuit, the lawyer will handle it on a contingency basis where you put no money out up front because when they win, and in this case it would be hands down, they get paid from the losing party.
