They are calling my work number, leaving VERY detailed messages with co workers and threatening me with arrest!  Ridiculous.  I've done NOTHING to be arrested for!

I've gotten a call from I guess an Attorney regarding number 855-504-6804, that i'm not responding to any calls or messages and their going to verify my place of work and contact the HR dept. They keep referring to the firm. Who the hell is the firm. Ridiculous!

This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I just received a call from 855-504-6804 - a woman who calls herself "Mrs. Evans" called to speak with me because a formal complaint has been filed against me. She doesn't identify who she represents, she only mentions that her office she has been hired to review my case. She said she would like to speak with me, to hopefully dismiss the complaint before the county files an official complaint and serves me. She never mentions what county, nor does she give me any specific information, so I'm assuming this is a scam. Anyone have a similar phone call from this number?

Mr. Robinson called me and said he was with the legal division reviewing my case and wanted to verify my information, I told them to send me a validation letter and hung up. They then called back and ask for my supervisor told him he was from Western Legal and that I had just committed fraud on a federal line and that they would be coming to pick me up and how would he like them to handle it? My supervisor told them to come to the front door and they would talk with them, Mr. Robinson also stated he was with the State of Alabama and this was bank fraud. Funny how when you look up the names of the companies or reverse look up phone numbers you either get nothing or get complaints.
