wow these people call my job saying that if I didn't pay they were going to serve me with papers for fraud. does anyone want to join me with filing a lawsuit.

I have been receiving calls from an Andrew claiming to work for oakwood firm. I first get a call from a local number stating that I have been notified and given a number to call which was 877-769-0398 of course I called and spoke with a gentlemen named Andrew stating I owe 800 dollars for a payday loan I took out oct 2012 and if I didn't settle or make payments I was going to be in trouble. Of course I was scared and willing to work with the company but later found out it is a scam they can not threaten you with legal action. received another call today with again a threating message from Andrew and stating to call him from now a new number 1-877-782-3578. What can I do ? I don't want to change my number I already had to change my bank information because I gave them my debt card luckily nothing has been taken out.

I have been receiving the same calls from this company.  They have even called my parents house stating that they are going to serve me with papers.  First they called from a local number and stated I had a claim number and that I needed to call the 1-877-782-3578 number immediately to verify my home and work address so that they can serve me with court papers.  When I just called the number back, it is the Oakwood Firm.  I will not be setting up anything with them.  What should I do?

Oakwood called my work spoke to my boss little did they know the Director of my company was listening as a witness lol. Who wants to go in on a class action suit i have witnesses

I received a call from 816-892-7002 7 times today. I answered once this morning when they called from a local number 3 times in a row. Person stated he was with Oakwood and he had a claim against me and he needed to verify my address. I asked him what the claim regarded and who initiated it. He refused to answer and gave me another number to call. I told him if he could not tell me who he was or what the claim regarded we were ending the call. He tried to give me another number to call but I refused and hung up.  I blocked the number. They have tried to call multiple times since then but is blocked.

I only know they are located in Illinois. Or at least what they told me.

These criminal scammers ARE most likely located in Illinois, where most of the people that live there are similar to the Governors, who are in jail, have been there, or deserve to have been there, and have not been caught as of now!

Caller Frank Mason calling regarding a claim number for me. Called number listed and they want information but, can't give me any information regarding this so called claim. They call themselves Oakwood  866-846-5068 and 562-449-3255.

I work in a debt settlement firm and we get calls from customers every day about this "Oakwood" company.  They are based in Chicago but their main boiler room is in India. I've talked to them many times. They go after people who get scared into paying based on no facts at all. Just hang up. Each one of these scams spawns three or four new scam businesses.
