- LRThis number has been calling me for 3 days. It is a law firm (so they say) Keller and Fengle (not sure of spelling). They say they are giving me legal notice about several charges that are going to be placed against me. I think it's a scam. I had a similar situation last year and it turned out to be someone that got my name from a payday loan provider. They tried to say I had not paid back the loans, which I did. Don't answer and don't call them back!
- LBUThis is a scam. Do not give out personal info. Ask for their address and ask for a validation notice. They have to give you one according to FDCPA. Write to them to ask them to stop calling you. You can report them to the FTC after that point.
- sassyI received a call from this number and yesterday they were Keller & Fingold Assoc and today from the same number on my caller ID they are United Portfoli I BELIEVE THEY ARE BIG TIME SCAM
- Caller: keller & Finberg & United Portfoli
- Call type: Debt collector
- brian| 1 replyI got a message on my voicemail saying that multiple fraud charges were being filed against me and I had 24 hrs to respond. The woman said her name was Michelle walker from the law offices of Keller and finegold and associates. Sounds like a scamscam

- Know Your RightsBig time debt collection scam. There is no reason that these people should even think of picking up the telephone and calling people at home, their places of employment, etc.
I got a call within the last hour. The rep that I spoke with said she was collecting on a past due loan from the DJR Group. For those that do not know, this is Hydra Fund. Hydra is one of those offshore payday loan companies that lend illegally online or simply deposit money into your bank account without your authorization. Sometimes your bank can help you send it back and open a new account, other times they will begin randomly debiting your account for "collections".
The rep that I spoke with couldn't provide me with the specifics - name, address, phone number - without fumbling. She put me on hold, saying her supervisor would take over. Well, she never took me off hold and the supervisor ended up calling me and provided this 855 toll-free number.
I was asked if I received litigation paperwork from them regarding this case. As always, there are two charges being filed against you for "fraudulent" activity. Don't these bottom-feeders realize that they are just one background search away from being exposed and turned over to the Feds? They are committing heinous acts of fraud, extortion, misrepresentation, etc. And, they aren't really trying to preserve your privacy.

- Kerri AnnI received a call from 855-545-0191, The female who left me the message stated I could have my attorney call on my behave, so I did. From my understanding they do have the legal right to pursue me for bouncing a check to the payday loan company a few years ago, (why they wait til now to contact me is not understood). I agree I owe the money, I did take out the loan and spend it, but I do not agree with the interest that they have charged me, it almost doubled. Is there any way of disputing the interest? Are there laws about that?

- ScrewYouScammersI have been receiving multiple calls from multiple scam artists stating I owe money for loans I have never taken out. The latest is from this 855-545-0191 #. Typically stating some sort of legal action etc..From everything I have read it's a scam. They'll call multiple times, call friends & family with this BS. Wish I knew how to stop it other than ignoring the calls (because I have read to not engage them as you'll be treated as a "live-one") Unfortunately I have been receiving these kinds of calls for a couple of years now & even made payments thinking it would just go away (before I really looked into things....) I have been told I owe for pay-day loans..Have never taken one out in my life & never will...Glad to see that I can look things up on the internet to help determine the scam..I believe they are just phishing for money..Low-lifes!

- Mariah WatsonI received a voicemail from a Michelle Walker in regards to criminal charges against me from a pay day loan company Shoreline Online. Granted I have don't loans from them, but it was nearly 3 years ago and they were paid in full. So 3 years later, criminal charges are supposedly being filed against me for $1400. It seemed believable because she had all of my information (i.e ssn, d.o.b, name, address, even my old bank account information) what seemed fishy to me is when I returned her call, a guy answerered and only said "how can i help you", no business name, his name NOTHING!!! And then they're very rude about what's going on. I was scared out of my mind, i even started to cry. She put her "supervisor" on the line and i had to hang up on him because he demanded i provide my bank info over the phone. Eventually when Michelle, if that's really her name, got back on the line, i provided her all of my bank info to withdraw monthly payments of $296 for 3 months. As soon as i got off the phone i googled Shoreline Online and nothing but scam comments can't up. I immediately called my bank and blocked my card. A couple hours later I received an email with the letter head "Keller Finegold and Associates. So i also googled that name. The address matched what was on the letter, however the number was the same number that called me 855.545.0191, which they stated they weren't from the lawyers office, they were paralegals working with the lawyers office to settle with me. Please whatever You do, DO NOT allow them to manipulate you, because they sure manipulated me into giving them exactly what they wanted. Be careful with these scammers, wish i could locate them, i would definitely press charges.

- brandy replies to briani got the same message from a michelle walker also. I had a pay day loan out and made arrangements with them. when I called back the guy tried to get me to stay on the line I heard a lot of noise in the background and I had to go because of work and the guy was trying to get me to give out all kinds of info. this is a scam. they even gave me a doc number
- Yoda1725They are upstate New York (scammers). Here is their info:
http://www.bizapedia.com/ny/KELLER-FINEGOLD-ASSOCIATES-INC.html
They have no known website. Given the fact that there has been a huge uptake in illegal debt collectors opening up shop in the Buffalo, it is quite clear they are up to no good. If you have the misfortune of speaking to them, just jerk them around, keep them on the phone as long as you can, so they can make fewer of these calls. - Jessica MaryI have also received a harassing call from "the Law office of Keller and Finegold" . Michelle who stated she was a paralegal for the firm, informed me that I had two suits being filed against me; a misdemeanor and a felony. When I asked her to please repeat her name and where she was calling from so I could write the information down, she instructed me to "please wait so she could speak first." I allowed this. She spoke very quickly, using some legal jargon, which was mispronounced and also stated out of context. However, I allowed her to continue letting her know that it was fine if she needed to speak right away, not answer any questions and not take a moment to tell me the name of the law firm in which she is employed, as long as I could then speak. She began to speak faster, in circles. I told her I needed specific information, she did not give me any. I told her I needed to go to work, she spoke over me. I told her I was not going to provide her with a deposition because I was on my way out and was unprepared but would look over the materials I had on the loan she was speaking about ...Well, she would have none of that because it apparently deviated from the script that she was reading from. We did not agree on many points, points she attempted to make while speaking a mile a minute and behaving much more like a first time cold caller trying to sell me a date with Elvis.. Flustered, she put me on hold to have me "calm down". I was not excited. I was stating facts. She was excited because she perhaps thought she was going to sell me on something that she knows, I know and her "boss" Joey I. Cantcontrolmytemper also knows is nothing I should be buying or they should be selling. If you are reading this, Joey and Michelle, please take note. If you call someone's home, have facts. If you call someone's home, be polite. If you call someone's home to tell them they are being charged with a felony but you are then unable to provide them with specifics about the charges...chances are guys...people are going to get irate. Call it human nature. The crazy, wild, insane thing about it all...is that YOU BOTH were the ones who lost it, not me. Lost composure does not exude professionalism or good manners. For readers, I have been speaking to the Bureau of Consumer Affairs in my city. I suggest people who receive a call from them do the same, report them. I did call the FTC and was instructed by a super helpful...and polite...go figure!...person who gave me guidance in terms of filing a complaint against this bogus company. And Joey, I'm not embarrassed about taking out a loan to pay for a medical bill that is related to my son's medical condition. After being diagnosed with a benign brain tumor that had attached itself to his brain stem, he underwent a 16 hour surgery and was in ICU at BCH for six days. He then became ill and had emergency surgery...coming in at about four hours before we lost him forever. We were lucky. Now, he has universal hydrocephalus with a VP shunt that through a tube, transports his brain fluid, through his chest and down to his stomach. He has just been diagnosed with short term memory loss due to the surgery and has several learning and emotional disabilities. The loan I took out was, get ready for this...I couldn't make this one up...his trip with me, his brothers and my entire family to Disneyland. I had come up short that month and did not want to worry about money during the trip, so took out a loan. Not quite sure why in the world I would ever be embarrassed by something like that, but the fact that you told me I was worried about being humiliated because I had to take out a loan I shouldn't have taken out in the first place, and am trying to get out of it by lying about my job, etc. etc...Joey, you lost it and it does make me question not only your mental and emotional state, but also your blatant inability to behave in any way like a human being who has any conscious, dignity or soul. And that my friend, Joey, is the most troubling thing of all. Please, please give me a call when you really have something...something that matters, to lose control over.

- ticked off in msLast month I received a call from this number from a "Trevor Lindin". After he told me repeatedly about the fradulent charges my husband was facing if this matter wasn't taken care of immediately, I set up payment arrangements and gave him my info. After requesting a copy of the payment agreement 3 times and still haven't received it, already had $270 debited from my account, today I learned it's all a scam! I guess I should have gotten more info from him before giving him my banking info but all I was worried about was keeping my husband from going to jail.
As of today, my debit card will no longer be valid so I'm hoping he will call this week when the 3rd payment is scheduled to come out!
I hope these sorry, low lifes get a rude wake up call!!! Now if I can figure out how to report them and try to get my money back would be great! Apparently, we still have the actual bill that has to be paid!!!- Caller: Keller
