The girl that answers this number and calls from this number is named Megan, she sounds like a total valley girl. Anyways claims I owe money on a payday loan taken out in 2012 from a bank account that was CLOSED in 2007. Totally Megan would not provide a company website nor send correspondence by mail which is alarming to me yet wants to take my credit card to pay this debt?! I even sent a statement showing my bank account closed years before and the only payday loan I've ever taken, taken out of my account for payment. Totally Megan called back a couple weeks later yelling at me that I didn't send the information. Funny her manager never followed up with me as promised either believe his name was Eric. When asked for a email address I got this one: eric.manager@outlook.com. Scary if you are a legit company you probably have a domain for your email accounts but not these sinful people. I will let them take me to court I have proof they are a scam. Oh and they cannot tell me where they bought the supposed debt from. Oh and Totally Megan apparently a self acclaimed lawyer told me you cannot bk on a payday loan. No honey you can unsecured debt is unsecured debt. Do not trust these people at this number.

Used a legal service to verify if they were legit. They are not. Their tactic is to call and harass you and family members until you give in. Do NOT give in. They are a scam. Request your contract and ask for a physical address see what they say. If you get it please post here. I filed a compliant against this number with my Attorney Generals office please do the same in your state/county. Imagine how many people fall for this scam...my lifes purpose is to stop these these people and have them arrested. They have now resorted to calling me back to back and calling me names all the while you can hear them playing gangsta rap in the background. Lol yeahhhhh right! They are obviously bad at this "debt collection" game they play. Also after hours message does not provide a company name, SHADY!

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

    Frustrated With Scam Calls

This number called my sister's phone looking for me. Left a message with a case#. Threatened to come to my job and residence if I dont pay them. I called the number back after finding out it was a scam. Spoke to a Maria who told me that I owed a pay day loan from 2011 using a bank acct that has been closed for some time and a very old email address. The amounts provided continued to change throughout the call. First beginning with $300 to $400 then $2000 after fees. I laughed and told her I knew this was a scam. She laughed and told me we have your SS#. I told her alot of people have their information stolen everyday that I never took out an online loan and she could mail me the information so that I could take it to my lawyer. She continued to tell me my options, I overtalked her and told her that her ONLY option was to mail me the info so my lawyer could look at it. She said it was easier to email it and asked me for my email address. I continued to tell her no, mail it to me so that I can take it to my lawyer. She said she was sitting in her office doing her job. I said well send me the info. I told her to stop calling my family members, she said that they will continue to call them until I pay. She then asked if I wanted her to take legal actions. I again told her to send me the info and my lawyer will handle it. Thank I hung up. This is the 2nd time this company has called me regarding a loan. The amounts keep changing. Last time they said I owed $846.00. I contacted my lawyer in July to verify if this was a scam and he told me it was and to make a complaint with the BBB.

You are right, they must mail you the information not email it.  Also, they are not allowed to keep calling your relatives.  They obviously know how to get a hold of you.  Why your lawyer would tell you to file a complaint with a toothless organization that has no law enforcement powers is beyond my comprehension.  Everything you need to know and where to make complaints is several posts above yours.
