- Shannon| 2 repliesLeft a message that they are from a courier company trying to serve papers. When I called back they said they were litigations for a filing company.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Mary replies to Shannon| 1 replyI received the same call. They stated that it was from a debt back in 2009 and they needed to serve me papers as well. They stated that I would receive the paper within 48 business hours that was last Thursday 11/14/13 as of today nothing has been received. I think it is a scam so beware!
- Dawn| 5 repliesCall from 855-573-1638 stating he was a couier servcie scheduled to deliver a ceritified package, and my ID was required.
- californiablkboyMy Call was a little different! The First call I received was on 1/21/14 from a guy name Michael Rodriguez who stated that he was from a couier and was scheduled to be at my place of resident on Friday between the hours of (3 and 5 p.m.). He also stated that I must have valid documentation of who I am and that if I had any questions to call (855) 573-1638 and use claim number 426XXX. Received a second call on both my home and cell phone again on 1/23/14 stating the same thing. I called my attorney who said that if someone comes to your place of business or resident asking me to sign something regarding a claim filed against me, that I was to respond that I'm not going to sign it and give them the address to his office along with his phone number.
- VikkMathis replies to Dawn| 2 repliesHello Dawn,
My Call was a little different! The First call I received was on 1/21/14 from a guy name Michael Rodriguez (from an unlisted phone number) who stated that he was from a couier and was scheduled to be at my place of resident on Friday between the hours of (3 and 5 p.m.). He also stated that I must have valid documentation of who I was and that it was regarding a claim that I would have to sign for. He also stated that if I had any questions to call (855) 573-1638 (who are the filing the claim) and use claim number XXXXXX.
Received a second call on both my home and cell phone again from the same guy who repeated the same thing as if he was reading from a script or something on 1/23/14 except this time he stated it was a follow up but bascially stated the same thing. I called my good friend who happens to be an attorney who said that if someone even dare comes to my place of (business or resident) asking me to sign something regarding a claim filed against me, that I was to respond that I'd received their messages and was instructed by my attorney and representation to not sign the document and give them the address to his office along with his phone number where they can deliver the documentation or claim for too which happens to be him. - jasonits called Webster acct solutions. its a collection agency trying to collect a debt from outta stat accts

- tired of being harrassed| 1 replyJust like Dawn and Californiablkboy, I also received a call from a guy name Michael Rodriguez (from an unlisted phone number) who stated that he was from a courier service and was scheduled to be at my place of residence on Tuesday between the hours of 3 and 5 p.m. He also told me that I must have valid identification and that it was regarding a claim that was filed against me. He also stated that if I had any questions to call (855) 573-1638 (the "unknown" agency that is filing the claim) and use claim number XXXXXX. I'm going to wait and see if anyone actually shows up on Tuesday.

- Angela| 1 replyI received the same call on Friday May, 16th. I received a VM from Michael Rodriguez but his number wasn't unknown. His number came up as 469-804-0613 and he was saying the same thing that he was a civil courier and he was scheduled to deliver a certified package to me between the hours of ( 3-5pm ) tomorrow. He said a claim was being filed against me and that it was important for me to be home between those hours or I needed to call 855-573-1638 to reschdule my time of delievery. I have taken this to my attorney as well and I am curious to see if this Michael shows up at my home tomorrow.

A whois registration search indicates the domain is registered by anonymous proxy - Anon1Received the same call yesterday and today from a Michael Rodriguez from a local number of 513-813-4421. He called again and left an identical message with a blocked phone number asking me to call 855-573-1638. I tried to call back multiple times and the same rotation of three individuals answered, answering the phone with different style greetings. (I suppose that is not unheard of in the business world today.) I asked for the company and she said a legal filing company. I said no what is the name of you company, she finally responded with "Webster Account Solutions". So my conclusion is this is a scam or a very poorly put together company. I will update and let you know if they show up tomorrow.

- AnonReceived a call from a restricted number last week. They left a voicemail with this as their callback number. Claimed they had to serve me papers and would be at my home at a specified time. As far as I am aware, they did not show up. They have not called since. Also of note, they asked for me by my maiden name and told me I would need valid ID, leading me to believe this may be a scam.
- Jesus replies to Dawn| 1 replyHas he shown up at any of you guy's home? He left me a VM today and said he will deliver papers on Friday between 2 and 3
- Slim replies to JesusLegitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process. They will deliver the notification without warning.
Also, if you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email, read this:
http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam
"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."
"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court." - Rob replies to VikkMathisNo he won't,
No one is going to call you in advance to tell you they are going to serve you. No you don 't, Unless the person is some sort of police officer or official individual, you don't need to show ID; it's a process server's job to be sure they have the right person.
The only thing different from thousands of other similar scams is the number. Your lawyer is right. Pain in the butt, but as long as you refuse to play along, the scammers should move to the next mark. Good luck.
Do not call them back for any reason. If they call anyone else, just tell that anyone else that it's a scam, and you are not being extorted, no matter how many friends they call. - Anon23 voicemails this past week from Michael Rodriguez. He left this phone number and an account number to reference when calling. Said he was a legal courier needing me to be available to sign for papers and I would need a legal ID. Also stated it is very important that I be available to sign or it will be marked as unable to locate or refusal to sign.
I did call the number to see what this was in reference to. Their information was accurate (which doesn't say much) except they don't have my current address, but offered to update my file =). I gave them no personal information. It is an actual debt that I owe, but is outside the statue of limitations in Tx. Of course they referenced activity as of 2011, bringing it back in which is more than likely BS. Last activity from the credit bureaus is 2009.
The lady I talked to didn't make any threats, or try any scare tactics, which is why I am questioning if this is real or not. I called twice, same person answered the phone (a man) and transferred me to the same person I spoke to (A lady). Everything I am reading is saying process servers will not try to contact you before serving you, they just do it.- Caller: Webster Account Solutions
