    DON'T EVEN TRY IT!
Caller ID showed: unavailable (855)573-7354; left msg- "We are calling in behalf of your policy with MetLife Auto & Home; please call us back at your earliest convenience at 855-573-7354. Please have your policy number when you call." Why if they are MetLife would they not show who was calling? Scammer call. Checked with my insurance...they did not call me and had no need to contact me. CONCLUSION: Scammer either fishing for ID info or insurance company looking for business. Called the business and they are looking for info and asked for my policy information. I asked point blank if they were MetLife..they answered: No. Told them their call has been reported to police and DoNotCall and DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN.Gov! GIVE THEM NOTHING! SCAMMERS!

    Enough Already!
Called this morning with same msg as other posts have gotten.  I thought, if you are calling from my insurance about my policy, wouldn't you have my policy number already? And why aren't you going thru my agent? And, why didn't you say Thank You at the end if your call?!?  I don't trust them as far as I can throw them!!!!

They changed MO, now they claim legal action against me including arrest (if arrest was gonna happen you wouldn't receive a call first, or several calls in one day)

I received 4 calls from this number. Since I did not recognize the number I let it go to voice mail. The same message was left with each call. A person claiming to be from Met Life said she had questions about my auto insurance policy. I called Met Life on the number I have used to reach them in the past. The folks at Met Life said they did not call and that this number was not one of their phone lines.

Got a couple of voice messages just as others above.  Ignored them.  However, I just received a letter in the mail that seems to be from MetLife asking to call that number, and the letter correctly lists my cars, birth years and last 4 digits of drivers licenses (though I didn't actually check if it's the correct license numbers - probably is).  They saw they need to verify the annual mileage for the cars.  It says that their trusted partner Quality Planning (QPC) will be collecting this information.  You can also apparently update online at MyMetLife.AutoPolicyUpdate.com.  So at least in this case I'm thinking this is probably legit.

All you have to do is calling MetLife from a number you know is correct and ask about the letter.

It is Met Life Insurance Company.  If you log on to their website on the paper, you will see all of the same information and when you answer the questions, you will see that it absolutely is Met LIfe.

This is not a MetLife company.

I got the same letter in the mail. These people have too much knowledge and we need to start complaining to MetLife to find out if they have given our information out and tell MetLife how the phone conversations went.
I did a whois and the domain they are sending us to, autopolicyupdate.com is:
    Registrant Contact
    Name: Quality Planning Corporation
    Organization: Quality Planning Corporation
Mailing Address: 388 MARKET ST STE 750, SAN FRANCISCO CA 94111-5352 US

    Ext:
    Fax: +1.4153690709
    Fax Ext:
    Email:helpdesk@qualityplanning.com

We need to tell MetLife we don't want these intrusions in our lives and they should not be selling our information

Received same letter. When I called MetLife they say they are verifying for them mileage rate. I said why can't I do that straight through MetLife like always and he couldn't answer. Been with MetLife 15 years and never had to do this. Get my renewal packet, pay, and move on.

It would be better if you provided the source for all those phone numbers. The only number I could easily find on their website is the top one.

Received the same voice message from "MetLife" and ALMOST fell for it as I am a customer. But first I checked the Contact Us page for the real MetLife. The official phone numbers are on this page https://www.metlife.com/support-and-manage/contact-us/.

The website doesn't work - I got the same letter. I am thinking it is probably a scam, or at best a marketing attempt.

Lady said she was from MetLife Auto & Home & was following up on letter they sent before policy was renewed & asked for my agent’s name. I told her that I don’t give out information to someone that I don’t know calling me & that I would call MetLife directly. I won’t be calling with the number that this person called from.
