Sent a text saying it was Google Maps wanting to verify the status of my business.  I don't think it is Google.

Same here... garbage spammers... google maps does NOT call or text anyone. never has. You might get emails asking if your business is still open or updates to your listing but only through emails of the registered account.

Recieved same fake "Google Maps" message wanting to "Verify my business...Check one of these options". Thank you for help from others who helped me see this is a scammer phishing expedition. What a waste of precious oxygen these criminals are.

I received the same text claiming to be Google maps. It was after I recently made a change. I could have fallen for this but didn't.

We just changed our address too and I almost fell for it, but following the link it was clear something was off as it showed the old address so I did not confirm anything and closed it to google the phone number as I never have them text me normally.  Hope that was enough to not make anything worse.  But definitely like you thought it might be legit as it was on the phone we use for 2 factor auth.  Thanks for your message that reinforced that it was probably a phishing expedition.

Got 2 calls and 2 texts from this number claiming to be google maps, theyre trying to confirm our address and inquire on our employee information

Just received a text from this number wanting to verify my business on Google Maps, thing is I don't own a business.

Got a text from 855-593-9026 and a call from 650-694-9709 claiming to be from Google Maps. Did not respond nor answer their call.

Same thing happened to me don’t open any outside links ever!!

Got a text from 8555938213 claiming it’s Google Maps and was asking to verify my business phone number. Sounded fishy as I am aware not to reply to these

Not true, Google maps does call from a 650 number

Received text msg asking to confirm business hours. I had doubt that google would text without asking, so thankfully I googled the # and landed me here to see it is in fact a spammer looking to harvest more information on businesses so they can try and hack/sell in the future.

yes, still happening to this day. I was contacted via text from this # today/ yesterday it was a call from 1-419-962-9351  he wanted $99usd immediately or my buissness page would be suspended and not able to revive for min 6 months. I refused and within 2 mins my company was marked as permenately closed. simple fix. just logged on and reopened . if you are unable to change it, have a friend visit the page and suggest edit. it gets fixed promptlyt

I received a text message from this number. said it was google and wanted me to revise buissness hours. do not fall for this. They say its for your buissness page or google maps. THIS IS NOT GOOGLE.   BEWARE

Fake Google Maps spammer asking for details on my maps page after I recently updated it. Fake- do not reply!

Text Message received as saying “Google blocked someone with the password for abcd123@gmail.com from signing in to the account. Learn more: google.com/signins”

I receive a text msg from the same number above.
But it wasn’t from google maps. It was from google supposedly saying they prevented someone from accessing my  email.

This is the txt msg I received

I received this text immediately after sending an hacked account recovery request to Google:

+1 855-593-9951 "Did you recently ask Google to reset how you sign in to p**********@gmail...? If not, check your email to find out how to STOP this request."
