- Hayley replies to Jennifer| 1 replyWhy do people do this
- Pudge replies to HayleyBecause they can steal money from the woefully uninformed and get away with it most of the time. Sad but true. Make it your policy to never answer calls from persons or numbers you don't recognize. Never call back. Invest in a call blocker and download a call blocking app. Take control. Stay safe. :-)
- Anon| 1 replyThis is a copy of my voicemail I received today before they contacted my job and grandmother to harass me:
Hi, this is Nadine Richards calling with the process service dispatch Department out of (city we live) County. This call is meant for (my name) your case is returned to my desk for service due to failed communication with the firm handling your case, and at this point, the firm would like to proceed. So if you have any questions, or if you needed to provide any details or change the delivery of your documents, you need to contact the legal firm handling your case immediately at 855-682-4424 and reference your case number (bs case #) failing to contact the legal firm may result in further legal proceedings to take place without your knowledge or your consent miss. You have been notified and you need to contact the legal firm immediately.
Upon calling back the male rep refused to provide a license number and address of the firm. Told me "you know what you've done. I have already recorded you admitting to stealing from Wells Fargo we have all the proof we need" when I told him it was a scam he got noticeably upset and told me I was irresponsible for not calling Wells Fargo to get more information on the case because they would have given me THEIR license. He claimed that if I didn't make a payment today that I would have to spend 120 days in jail.- Caller: Edwards Law
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to AnonFake process server/debt collection extortion scam. The "case" cannot proceed without them serving you. You can easily find out if there is a "case" by calling your local courthouse. No one goes to jail because of a debt so that is another lie. Wells Fargo has nothing to do with this and there is no reason to call them. If it was an actual law firm they would have given you their name, address, and BAR number.
- Pissed mamaThese scums are relentlessly calling me and my work saying I owe an 11 year old debt. Threatening to garnish my wages. Is this bs or what
