Maybe you can answer me this archer:  I just received a call from this # at my home.  I have never given out my home # to any company because I live with my 82 year old grandmother.  I use my cell phone as my primary phone so I don't know how this company got my home #.  I didn't answer the call.  My brother did and passed the info on to me.  The # came up as blocked.  Why would a legitmate person trying to collect a debt block their #?   Seems very shady.  Also I've never heard of this company and have never received anything in the mail pertaining to whatever "case" they claim I have against me.  By law a company has 5 business days to send legal debt validation through the mail.  I will wait the 5 days and if I don't receive anything I will chalk it up to another bottom feeder debt collector trying to collect on a debt that isn't owed and they can not provide backup for.

I received a voicemail from this number two days ago. The woman gave so much information that I could barely understand. She gave a case number and advised that that there is a fraud case against me. At the end of the call she said that my information had been passed onto local authorities. When I called back a few minutes to 6pm a woman would answer just saying yea then the call would disconnect. I tried 3 more times with the same disconnect. The last time I called was a few minutes after 6 and the call went direct to an after hours fraud department voicemail.

Someone from this number called my Dad and Mom, my sons brother-in-law gave a case number and told them I wrote fraud checks and something to do with our mortgage.  We don't even have JP Morgan as mortgage company.  After googling this number responses of fraud came up!  Did anyone report this to the Police??

Someone called me from this number and is saying I wrote checks as well, and that they will report me to my local sheriff if I don't pay them.

My mother, 3 sisters, niece and nephew all got calls looking for me in Pennsylvania saying I wrote bad checks and the last check I wrote was in 1996.

Received a call from this number today for the wrong person, soooo not my last name. Threatening another person whom I've never heard of who had written "bad checks" and  stated that she was turning this case over to the local authorities and referenced a case number. Sound familiar?

I keep getting calls about bad checks I've never owned a checking account and honestly don't know how to even fill out a check

They called My husband his mothet and sistet saying my hudband wrote a bad check and they were going to contact the fraud department and they were going to contact the local sheriff...

They (Archer Associates) earlier today called my cell, my mother's cell, my house, & my sister's cell saying my husband has 2 charges against him for bank/check fraud in Rockingham County, N.H. A women left me a voice mail talking really fast, naming off his last 4 of his SS #, reference #, file #, etc. I called her back and when they answered the phone some guy says "investigations". He transferred me to the women (Olivia) who originally called me, when I told her I know this is a scam she says "no it's not, ummm let me transfer u to our lawyer". I then got transferred to an Andrew Logan (I really doubt that is his real name). He said my husband had gotten a pay day loan and it was deposited into a Citizens Bank account. My husband doesn't have a Citizens Bank account nor has he EVER received a pay day loan. Andrew then said "Well u think ur husband is completely honest with u, u think he tells u everything?" He sat there and had the nerve to ask me why my husband was cowering behind me and why he wasn't calling them himself. I said I'm just returning a call U left on MY cell phone. I said he's my husband and I think I would know if he committed check fraud!  I then told him about how I found online that this was a scam, and he said "do you believe everything u read online?" He said "it's just people who hang up with them that are mad and need to vent because they committed a crime and got caught!" This guy is such an idiot! He just kept giving me the run around! I said well is it's not a scam then I want proof! Send me the paper work in the mail. I want bank statements from this so called Citizens Bank. I want a list of the charges and who filed them. He then said "lets not bother with all this paper work and just admit what u did wrong, there's no need for all that!"  Really??? So I said to call my lawyer and gave him his name & #, he said ummm no tell him to call me! I said do people really fall for this sh*t? He then said well I'll just take u to court. I said FINE, I would rather go to court and settle this right then give u a god damn DIME over the phone! He just hung up! THEN my husband called him and this is where it gets funny..... He wouldn't give my husband any information, not how much the debt was, what date it happened on, not a thing! He said I was so rude to him and he was mad! lol What kind of "lawyer" is this!? Then he told my husband he had his WHOLE life from beginning to end right in front of him on his computer. My husband said oh really?  What city was I born in? He said "ummm Massachusetts", my husband said no what city?? He says "ohhh it would take me too long to go back that far!" The lies coming out of this guys mouth was hilarious! The best part was he gave my husband his address: 1 Liberty Place, 32nd Floor,  Pittsburgh, PA.  So when I looked up Archer Associates with that address a law office did come up but with a different phone #. When I called it a women answered and said there was no Andrew Logan or Olivia that worked there!! I told her there were people using their name and address to try and extort money from people and she was shocked! She said they don't even deal with bank or check fraud there! I gave her their phone # and she said she was going to investigate. And tonight after work I'm going to the local Police and filing a fraud complaint because they know my husbands full SS#! So sorry to ramble on and on, I just want people to know my story so it doesn't happen to them! Do NOT give them ANY MONEY!! Good luck to anyone who has to deal with these a**h*oles!!

I got the same call today! It was for my husband and they called me, my mother, the house and my sister! Read my story below... it's actually kinda funny! Don't give these scumbags a dime! Its all bogus! Call their bluff! Ask for proof... Say u want a copy of the checks, bank statements, etc. Then say u will then give them to your lawyer and you'll go from there. They will get so pissed that u don't fall for it and hopefully leave u alone!

I received a phone call from Archer Associates 1-855-595-9870.   Investigator Gary called saying he needed to talk to me regarding fraud charges he said were pending against me but he was sure it would all be straightened out if I called him back.   When I called him back he said he was a lawyer who was going to file suite against me for fraud with mallicious intent.    He said in 2010 I had a payday loan that I never bothered to repay, it was for over 3000.00  He threatened me with 3 to 4 years in jail.    I hung up on him  as I new it had to be a scam as I never take out payday loans.

Yes I did! I made a police report the other night because they knew my husband's Social Security #! Read my story below... These people are scumbags!

Unwanted scamish phone call from Olivia Parnell, claiming that "they" just need me to call to take me off of a suspect list for two counts of bank fraud.  Since I am at most guilty of one count of anything at anytime (sarcasm here) they must be wrong.  It's a scam, stop calling, it won't work here.  If you're real come and serve me legally, the matter would be cleared up in short order.

got a phone call on my cell phone from these people saying that my sister had fraud charges against her.  I told these people that I do not speak to my sister, have her number, know where she lives, etc. as we do not speak.  I am puzzled how they got my cell phone number in the first place and very irate to receive a call from them.  They would not take my answer insisting I call my mom and get her number because I need to help them find her because they are issuing warrants for her arrest.  I finally got ugly and told them my mom was dead and again I have no information or ties to her to remove my number from their files and never call me again.  If I get another call from these people I will definitely be contacting the FTC and AG office filing complaints for harassment.  Also these people made out like they were going to issue warrants and were investigators with the fraud department.  Last time I checked pretending to be an officer of the law was illegal as well.  I do not receive debt collection calls for myself and I am not about to start taking them for anyone else!!  Grrr someone needs to regulate the practices of these slimy scumbag collection agencies better!!!!!

Been getting calls from this number and a couple of different numbers but they are from the same people. They claimed my mother wrote a bad check (she hasn't written a check in ten years). Every time they call I tell them to stop and every time they are completely rude. They say they need my mom's permission to remove me from the list of numbers?! I told them that's ridiculous since it is not even my case they are dealing with. They either hang up on me or continue to argue with me! They called me 5 times in a row while I was working last week and now they keep calling my sister, dad, and of course my mom. They always speak very quickly so it's almost impossible to get any information. I've blocked numbers but they call from other numbers. The calls are from Pennsylvania, Texas, and the latest was from Cambodia!  One of the people finally identified himself as Andrew Logan who now claims they have warrants out for my mom's arrest. We know they are scammers but it is getting to the point where they are harassing us and we want it to stop!

they have called me twice, called my sister and called my old roommates(who i havent lived with in15 years) girl friend  looking for me for bad checks.i havent had a checking account in years and certainly didnt write a bad check in the town they say i wrote. number on my phone comes up unknown but the call back # is 855-595-9870 and he says one time hes inspector terry  johnson  and when he called my old roommates girl friend he said he was the police and was dectective terry johnson.i am reporting it to the ftc for fraud
