- JohnsonThese are Indian people scamming the Americans in the name of Apple and Microsoft. They are scammers asking for money and they put fake popups using our IP address.
When we call to the pop-up number they say there are infections and ask for money.
These people are not from Apple or Microsoft. They are from iKraft247 Tech INC.
I have searched the number in Google and found their website : https://www.ikraft247.com/support.php
They claimed to me as Apple and got money from me. After I paid them they never helped me with my issues.
All I need to say don't attend the call from this number and don't get scammed like me.- Caller: iKraft247 Tech INC

Since the scammers accessed the computer, they probably did one or more of the following:
• Disabled the anti-virus software
• Added nasty malware to the computer
• Copied the Contact List (so they can spam/email your soon-to-be ex-friends)
• Copied any financial data or passwords they could find
• Compromised your ID
• "Zombied" the computer, so it would respond to THEIR commands sent via internet
• Deleted some important files
• Asked for money to repair the damage they caused
What can you do immediately after such an attack?
1. Pull the cables on the computer, or otherwise disable it, so it cannot access the internet.
2. Change ALL passwords stored on the computer.
3. Run FULL malware scans on the computer, in "SAFE" mode!
4. Change the passwords again, particularly if the malware scans showed anything.
5. Inform your bank and credit card companies.
6. Sign up for credit monitoring, and check the status frequently
7. You may have to bring the computer to a local repair shop, and tell them the story.
8. Tell friends what happened, so they can be aware of strange emails from you.
9. Connect to the internet only AFTER all the above have been done.
10. Change the passwords on all online accounts. Even better - access a "safe", uninfected computer, and chance your online account passwords RIGHT NOW.
NOTE:
If your computer set a "Restore Point" while it was infected, any "System Restore" you make will re-infect your computer. Suggest you delete any potentially infected restore points and avoid setting such restore points until after your computer has been thoroughly cleaned!
You fell for one scam, and might be susceptible to others mentioned on this site:

Read that info to educate and help protect yourself!
Honest computer companies do NOT cold-call people, or cause popups from websites to tell them their computers need fixing!
Some scammers even have websites, and falsely advertise they are associated with popular software packages or computer companies; so do NOT believe a "we will fix your computer remotely" site, and allow them access to your computer!

I can bet they never does cold calls. It takes guts to support 85 year old person for his machines with so much of patience and kindness. They are not at all scam. Keep doing good job iKraft247.
- Slim replies to mike>> I can bet they never does cold calls. <<
Microsoft does not make cold calls.
Scamming computer companies make cold calls.
Posters in this thread stated they got cold calls to supposedly fix their computer.
Therefore, they got cold calls from scamming computer companies.
Make sense, shill? - David Miller| 3 repliesWell, I have a service plan with this company and seems like OK people and I personally got all my issues resolved.
- U.R.Fullofit replies to David Miller| 2 repliesI highly doubt your story - as do many regulars here.
SHILL ALERT!!!! Why else would you post your comment on a complaint website??? - David Miller replies to U.R.Fullofit| 1 replyYou highly doubt my story, and who are you ??? I just got to this page when searching for the number and found something that I didn't like so I commented. Anyways, did some search on this website and looks like a 800notes is a "scam using extortion techniques". Anyways internet is full of websites with no control on who says what. Anybody can post anything on this website, i can put microsoft, apple's number here and say they are scam and no checking here.
- Jon ThomasHUGE SCAM. Definitely a predatory company using extremely deceptive practices to attack unsuspecting users. One of my customers was "watching a movie" on her laptop yesterday and a popup alert came up claiming to be Microsoft and warned her that her PC had been infected with viruses and to call them at 855-598-4419 (which she did). Thinking this was Microsoft, she allowed the person to connect to her PC remotely to remove the threats and to fix problems they claimed they had detected. All of this was a lie and, furthermore, it was NOT Microsoft on the other end - it was an iKraft247, Inc. scammer ripoff virus warning popup. When they asked for $499 to complete the repairs she borrowed her mother's phone and called me and I told her to shut down the PC and to disconnect the call (which she did). iKraft247, Inc. is a complete bogus company scammer hacker that seeks to steal business using unethical business practices (not to mention they use ILLEGAL HACKING METHODS to cause your PC to receive completely false and fictitious alerts while you are simply surfing the Internet.

- Mark sisota| 3 repliesSomeone above mentioned that they got call from this number, and then someone said they called that number after having some warning screen. This is the same number listed for
customer support on official website. So that means a company who handles thousands of clients a year would be using a single toll free number for marketing department, customer service and technical services. Does that make
sense? Anyone who have been from any Knowledge process center can figure out
the truth better. So why this number only, because this is the only number which is listed on official website and its most easy to defame. Being a former employee from ikraft247, I just want to make it clear that any talks for outbound or using deceptive marketing techniques is bogus. They have their own happy clients, feedback and survey system by what they maintain quality. It is always easy for losers to defame any organization. - Dave HillIn July I was using my computer it shut down and I got a warning message that my computer was infected and to call this number. I called and they said they were receiving alerts that my computer was being hacked into. I assumed that this was the service I was using and provided them with the information they requested and gave them access to my computer to resolve the problem. They said they were providing me with all this protection for $299. I thought I had dodged a bullet. In Aug. I received a phone call stating they were from Windows and that they were getting reports of unusual activity and that someone was hacking into my computer. I told them that I had just paid for antiviral software a month before and I would have to talk to them. I called the company I had been dealing with and told them about this call and the service I supposedly purchased in July. I was informed that there had been no purchase from their company since Oct. of the previous year. They said they would run a scan to see if my system was compromised. The scan showed that all my antiviral protections had been removed. While they were showing me this on my computer they could see the hackers getting into my computer. I was told to immediately shutdown my computer and was told that 'Windows' service center wouldn't call someone. Within 10 minutes I received a call from 'Windows' asking what had happened to my computer. I asked for a phone number and said I would call them right back at 866-662-2747. I told them that I knew this was a scam. Of course there was no answer when I called this number. The company that provides my protection told me I was only to talk to one particular tech who was working on getting my computer up and running again and that they would be upgrading my protection since my protection would be running out in 2 months. I received a call stating they were form my company but it was not the person I was to talk with; when I asked for that person I was told he was not available so I told them to have him call me. I relieved another call stating they were from the accounts dept. and I was to call my bank to cancel the charges since I didn't need the additional protection. I told them I thought they should be the ones to call but was told I had to make the call. When I called my credit card company they said that I would have to wait unto the charge posted to my account before anything would be done. When I spoke to my company that finished upgrading my protection they said no tech even worked there by that name and I was told to cancel the charge so that the upgrades wouldn't be installed leaving my system open for them to hack into. If it wasn't that these people were so greedy to try to scam me a second time I would never have realized I had been scammed in the first place. Lesson learned. Never assume anything. Windows, Microsoft, google, etc. will not call you. Don't allow access to your computer unless you are absolutely sure who you are dealing with, in fact if you receive such a call get a phone number and call back before doing anything. If they say new software protection is being installed, be sure to check you computer that the software is actually installed and no deleted.

- mopsnetwork| 1 replyiKraft is a computer store based in India, which sells computer products and services locally. They don't call outside of India to say your computer has issues.
This number could either be that company, engaged in some sort of outside fraud operations, or scammers took the name of the store to make their services seem more legit. Either way, I highly recommend that you do not accept any service from these individuals and hang up immediately.

Just kidding! I don't wonder at all! I know how these kinds of people spread their internet footprint all around the globe to make it harder for law enforcement agencies to track them down. - William replies to David MillerIf you had a service plan with this company you would have already had this phone number and would not be searching for it. Only shills show up to defend these companies.
And only shills use phrases like "I personally got all my issues resolved." - William replies to Mark sisota| 1 reply" ... a company who handles thousands of clients a year would be using a single toll free number for marketing department, customer service and technical services. Does that make sense? "
Yes, companies with lots of phone lines can do this, the technology to do it has existed for several decades.
Look up PBX (Private Branch Exchange) to begin learning about this.
