Repeated calls from this company 800 service

Some one calling from Accounts Settlement-Arrowhead John Baker, collecting for CHASE and that they are taking you to court based on money that was deposited into your account using your drivers license...really I thought they used your account not a drivers license.  Sounds fishy

Keep calling me about fraud checks for cash net usa which don't service new jersey I'm so over this

I keep getting calls from this number that I will be taken to court for check fraud -
No name or company name is ever left -- Just people trying to scam money -- I'm over it !!

Received a message on home phone on Wednesday at 12:42P.M. it said: "This is a legal notice for (no name given just click noise) you are in serious jeopardy of being implicated for check fraud we are calling to give you an opportunity to release your self from this liability prior to prosecution. (Delay) This serve as your final opportunity for voluntarily arrangements we have been instructed to move forward without your input. So please understand that your failure to respond at this point may result in legal action being taken against you. To discuss this matter in detail contact our office today at 855-603-5787 we look forward to your input regarding this matter."
It sounded like the woman was reading a script. They didn't give a name for who they were calling for nor did they leave their name or companies name. It sounds like a scam please beware.

Left a message talking about a legal notice for check fraud. The message was the same as the caller named Don’t Scam Me.

This company is a fraud and hung up when I called back when I asked them for information as to how they got my number. Ignore and move on with your life :)

Phone calls are legal  notification of NOTHING! This is just another scammer using the 855 area code.

same thing -- scam calling about my being implicated for check fraud. No name or company given. That I should call them right away to discuss. Did not call them!

Pretty much the same thing here. Check fraud thing. I called the number back. They were asking for someone with the same last name as me. Threatened them if they called me back I would call the feds.

called my MIL saying myhusband had a fraudulant check..wont say what company they are calling from.

This number calls to get your personal information by LYING about you having a bad check. It is a scam!!!!

Called me and said that i borrow a $1000.00 Back in 2014 and i never paid so they are a collecting Agency...
they got all my personal information , that is so freaky!!

Caller ID in Office identified number  855-603-5787. Always a legal matter, always going to file a report, always going to come see you at your work...yada...yada. I work for the court system and want to clear a few things up for anyone who finds this thread.  Feel free to copy it and paste it on any thread concerning these low life Zombie collectors who prey on people.

First they are calling because they say they can not find you. This is Crap as the sheriff, will NEVER, EVER call you to tell you they are coming. They live to work on the element of surprise. Plus if your township, county etc, wants you, they already know where you are, so sit tight.

Second, and most important, NEVER CALL these low life bottom feeders back.  Because truth be known they don't care who they talk to as long as they can get money from someone. It doesn't even have to be the right person. If you call them back then they know that they have a real tangible working phone number that they can call to harass you all the time of day and night.  Just ignore the call, or better yet, tag them as a spam call in your phone, and you'll never even see them ring it.

Third, these people function and live on the *Fear factor* they will say anything,  tell you anything to get you to give them the money thru your checking account, debit card or credit card.  Many people get scammed this way. I've heard : coming to your workplace to arrest you, serving you in the morning if you don't call by a certain time, attaching your salary, etc, etc, this is all nothing but crap.

Fourth, in most states payday loans are ILLEGAL as they charge obnoxious interest, and most states are trying desperately to ban them.  (One of the previous people said they had borrowed money so this identifies as a payday loan) Since I'm not sure of what state anyone is in, I cannot site them all here, but if you go to your states attorney general page, you should be able to look up the laws.

Fifth, I know it sounds nice to send them a letter or report them, but this is a futile. They have got this to a science.  With all that is going on in court systems they know they have time on their side.  Not enough of these low life bottom feeders get caught and prosecuted, if they did...they wouldn't still be in business, but they are, thousands of them.

Lastly, anyone who posts that you are scum or a deadbeat PAY YOUR BILLS , OR OMG  they came to my place of work and arrested me, are full of crap, and are employees of the company that is trying to scam you (yeah they read the threads also)  and are just trying to SCARE you, SEE MY THIRD NOTE Above, Fear factor.

Best thing to do in this case, especially with these people is TO IGNORE. Eventually when no one engages with them they will go away to torment someone else.

And just in case your wondering how I know,  I work in Washington DC in the federal court system.

Same message as mentioned previously about check fraud without identifying a name. I called them back and told them there must be an error as this is a business line. They then asked was I  "___" who was a previously employee who has not worked here in over 5 years. When I tried to explain that to them the person mocked what I said and my accent multiple times. This was the rudest most unprofessional contact I have ever had!
