The person sounded like he was from India.  He was trying to convince me to go into my computer so he could check if my computer is protected for viruses.

I reported earlier the person calling was from Iolo.  The second time he called he said he represented System Mechanic and wanted me to turn on my computer and follow his instructions so he could turn on some more of the features included in system Mechanic.

Garden variety Indian or Pakistani tech scammer.  Ignore and block the calls.  Never allow anyone access to your computer.

today, nov 20,2015, received an email from: "ips@iolo.com via surveymonkey.com" stating that system mechanic saw that  my computer was not running properly and that i should phone: 1-855-604-6349 to talk to someone about it.. It also wanted me to click on a button to answer a survey.. Did not fall for either option. I do not have system mechanic on my computer..

I also received 2 different scam emails that looked like they came from iolo.  I just called them to report this scam & they are aware but will still escalate it, they were glad I called in to tell them.

CHECKED MY EMAIL-NOV 23,2015 AND RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE FROM SUPPOSEDLY  IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC...
THIS IS THE SECOND EMAIL THEY HAVE SENT TO ME..
DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST ONE THAT I GOT ON NOV 20,2015..
KNEW IT WAS A SCAM, THOUGHT I WOULD PUT IT ON THIS WEBSITE FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO SEE...
