Received call and when answered no one talks!  What happened to the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY!!!!

Recorded message played twice after long delay: "The reason for our call is to ensure you were pleased with our newspaper delivery service." But no chance to say if I am pleased or not, WTF.

Figured it was a telemarketer so I didn't answer the call and no voice was left.

They didn't leave a message. PCF took over delivery of weekly Barron's and some other daily newspapers including Wall Street Journal in DC two weeks ago. In my case, they delivered the wrong paper the first week and failed to deliver the second week.

I ignored the call since it wasn't a phone number I recognized. Okay, so this is a newspaper deliveryphone number, for PCF. I don't get any newspapers delivered, so why would they call me?

Picked up, no noise and disconnected. Been have issues with my WSJ that changed carriers.

Called to verify that my paper delivered yesterday because I had called to tell them I didn’t receive it yesterday

I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number & no VM left. However, reading the above comments, we did have a paper delivery issue the other day. You'd think if this company REALLY wanted to know how you like their service, etc., they'd have an identifiable number and/or leave a message.
