Saying they will be taking me to court on a bankfirst credit card I had in 2011. Which is not so

My husband got a nasty phone call from these people today. Daniels and associates. Demanding payment today. They told him they were going to serve him papers for court. He paid $302. When I found this out I googled them and found these postings. We canceled his debit card. Has anyone found anything more about these people. Please help

These people just tried to scam me this morning!!!!! Same thing!! An old medical bill. Adams, Daniels, and asociates. I called the hospital from which this " bill" was from and nope. No bill. I wasn't even seen there in 2006!!! 12 freaking years ago!!! I called him back and said I wouldn't be paying anything. He said someone will be at my adress to serve me a court summons. I said okay!! #1 if someone is going to serve you, they don't give you a heads up. #2 the statute of limitations is 6 years in my state. This " bill" is from 12 years ago. I freaking hate scammers. I have 4 kids!! They tried to get me to pay them 536$ today!! I'm glad I knew something was fishy

A Daniels and Associates. A strong arm shady collection company out of California.  They use info from the web like people finders, to track down people related to someone.
They are not actually trying to get a hold of you, but if they panic your relatives, their theory is that your relatives will panic you.  They are not a legal firm. They have no legal documents they are going to serve.  There is usually NOT EVEN A DEBT THAT YOU OWE ANYONE.  You could have a 900 credit score, and not owe a dime, and they still will prey upon you.  They are trying to scare scam you into paying them money.  They call you from a private number so you can't call them back.  They tell you different call back numbers so that fewer people can find out they are a scam.  Report them to your state attorney general's office if they call you.  If still on the line, tell them you know they are full of BS and to stick it, and not to call again or you WILL take legal action.

They called me yesterday about a credit card dept . A credit card I never had .  It's the fear they give you is what makes you pay .
