I received a call, which I didn't answer, and then a voice message from someone from this phone number identifying themselves as an employee of a credit card company calling to "verify some recent activity on your account."  They identified the last four digits of my account.  I did not call them back.

Call from this number about fraudulent credit card charges. When we looked up the account online, none of the charges were there.

I got an early morning call from this number, which I did not answer.  The voice mail message said the call concerned some "recent activity on your account."  They had the last 4 digits of the account number, so I was concerned.  I looked up my account online and there is no unidentified activity on that account.  I will call the credit card company to report this, and to request a new number, just to be safe.

Called the credit card company and learned this was a legitimate call from their security department.  Charges did not appear online because they were holding them until they checked with me.  DO NOT IGNORE CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.

Long time customer of Simmons First.  Got a call about a card charge in another state (I had made the purchase).  They are pretty good about following unusual purchase patterns.  I had to research the number called from because we were disconnected and found this site.  I called customer service off the number on my card and spoke with a representative who verified the call and unblocked my account.  This an Arkansas Bank with card services that I would recommend to others....

This is a valid number.  I too was suspicious and called the number on the back of my card rather than the number left by message.  Better safe.  :)
