- MatCaller said she was representing AT&T and said that DSL as becoming obsolete and we needed to upgrade to U-Verse. I asked if she was with AT&T and she initially said yes. After I questioned her further she stated she were an authorized agent for AT&T and she was calling on their behalf. I told her I only dealt with AT&T directly and she became frustrated and started stammering. I hung up. Have received similar calls like this in the past. At that time I did contact AT&T and found out it was not legit.

- LeeLeeGot hang up, called and a male answered saying we applied for school assistance and started asking questions. We are a business, had him remove our number
- DGAT&T trying to sell me their over priced Uverse internet service. I have asked them numerous times to stop calling but they continue to bother us. Maybe it is some scam posing as AT&T fishing for information?

- LaurieWhat a jerk.
Guy calls claiming to be from AT&T, needing to speak to the person in charge of our internet. I told him no one at this number is authorized - we use an outside service. Let me have your number - surprise surprise, no number to give me.
He was stupid enough to say he'll call back - in which I told him why would you waste your time like that? And if you were really from AT&T you would already know we are your customer.
He then said he will put in the system that we are already a customer and that hopefully the calls will stop.
He can lie to me, I can lie to him!- Caller: unkown

- JTReceived a call from an individual calling himself Daryl 'with AT&T' (later said he was calling 'on behalf of AT&T' so likely an outsourced telemarketer) about trying to get our business back and pushing AT&T's Uverse service. He was very rude and hung up on me when I tried to ask for his employee identification number. I called the number back and was answered by a gentleman who said the number was to Pride Academics, so these telemarketers are likely spoofing the Caller ID.
I called AT&T at 8889440447 and spoke to a gentleman named David (just ask the automated system for a representative), who apologized and who said they have a team who handles this type of situation and that he would put this in the system for them to try and track down the individuals calling. Having an employee identification number (if they are employed by AT&T) or an actual company name if they're outsourced would certainly help track them down, but they won't usually provide that information. Either way, the actual AT&T representative I spoke to sounded genuinely apologetic, so if you keep getting these calls and feel like taking the time to call them about it, they may actually be able to find these people or companies, and hopefully will stop doing business with them for their outsourced telemarketing- Caller: 'On Behalf of AT&T'
