I got the same V/M. The caller could not ID who I am and request a call back to go over a $250,000 pre-approved loan. Sounds like a scem if caller could not ID who I am.

This is definitely a scam. They count on people's bad memories "Hey, its Tim again calling about that $250,000 loan we talked about." Of course neither you nor I talked to Timmy about any kind of loan. I don't know what happens if you are fooled by these people. I suspect that just want to get your information for identity theft.

I finally got so fed up with these turds, telemarketers in general that is - here is what I finally did. I assigned every one in my address book to a default group. Then I assigned that group a ringtone I made.

Then I set my default ringtone to silence.

What does this do? Any one who calls that is not in my address book does not cause my phone to ring.

Any one who calls and is in my address book, depending on what group or what ringtone I assign to them, will cause my phone to ring.

I found an app called "talking ringtone maker", I bought the pro version as I decided I really liked it so I wanted to support the makers. I am just a user, no relation to them.

I then made a bunch of custom ringtones for family members, friends and groups.

If a family member is calling my phone announces their name, or it will say "a family member is calling". If a friend is calling the phone announces "a friend is calling". If a local business calls, my phone says "a local business is calling"

Freeking works great. I know who is calling before I take my phone out of my pocket and no more telemarketer bother as those toads get the silent treatment, you can't be bothered by something you don't hear. I just check my phone a few times per day to see how many unknown people have called me.

This is all free, you don't need to pay for any apps. If you need to get calls from unknown people, this won't help you. If I am selling something on Craigslist I ask people to text or email me, not call me.

Phone rings barely a full ring, no number shows up and goes to voicemail.  This has happened every time he calls.  He leaves a message about some loan and to call 8556510043 to discuss.

Always calls at least once a week, leaves a message like we just talked recently about a business loan and he is just checking in to see if I am ready to go. Its a scam and I've told them to stop calling but they keep trying.

Then I set my contact list default group ringtone as the matrix telephone ring sound. My phone does not make any sound unless some one from my contact list calls. I also setup other ringtones for family, business associates, etc. Works great and my phone does not make a sound unless some one I want to talk to calls. Telemarketers no longer have the ability to interrupt me.

This man has been leaving his smug voicemails talking about his phony $250,000.00 business loan for years. He bypasses my call block feature and calls me weekly. I have never owned a business, nor did I apply for any loan. He is clearly a scam artist and up to no good. His arrogance and infuriating persistence has completely taken its toll, and I have filed formal complaints with the federal trade commission, consumer finance bureau and donotcall.gov and will continue to do so until he LEAVES ME ALONE. Despite the lack of information, I encourage others to do the same. Maybe if he sees people doing so he'll crawl back into whatever hole he came from and find a REAL JOB.

Yep, "Hi, it's Tim, again" regarding the "mail I sent you" same slick sounding loan scam as posted in the other reports.

He left a voice mmail stating that they had a $250,000 line of credit that I could access.

This guy is tricky! I blocked his #. Now, my phone doesn't ring, but he manages to leave a voice mail message anyway. When I check RECENT CALLS, my phone doesn't acknowledge that he even called. He is very eager to loan my business $250,000.00

Every two weeks or so, I get the same voicemail from this 'person' who uses different names and phone numbers (it's always the same voice). I don't show a missed call, and I don't hear the ring, so they are being dumped straight into voicemail without the opportunity for answering.
At first, I thought I had initiated the voicemail because I had done some research into small business loans as part of a school project 18+ months ago - but never called back because it seemed too good to be true - the first red flag for scammers

Caller left a voice mail. Business loan scam call.  The caller did not identify his company.

Call from "Tim" this time, but have also had calls from Derek re my $250,000 loan. Right.  BLOCKED!!!!!

Got a call from this number and received the same VM scam as others mentioned.
