- Teddygot this call today talking about a server and case number
- Cake BakerI have also received a call from them. They gave a bank name were they have listed I had either an account or took a lawn out. I called the bank and there is nothing under my name. I am not sure what else to do about this situation. They are trying to serve me papers and keep calling from private numbers.

- Ed replies to craig wilson| 2 repliesFolks, it's a scam. They are trying to scare the pants off you by making you think the legal boogie man is coming for you, and then offer you a settlement with your cc or a Walmart prepaid.
These toads are pushing the envelope anymore on new scams because the old ones are no longer effective.
Now, don't be surprised if some scam booster doesn't make a post here screaming "This if for Real" !!! Then describe how he/she ignored it and his/her car was repoed, his/her mother-n-law was thrown in debters jail, and their favorite dog was shot in a drive by. The sleezy folks are creative, sitting by their little computers, just looking for that special person who easily intimidated and is willing to fork out some cash.
Just be forewarned...and remember... Anyone who calls you out of the blue, on an 855 or 360 number (or any other strange looking number) and immediately begins pressuring and using legal sounding scare tactics about a debt or loan, or legal papers to be served, or you going to jail, or your Horse being Raped, or anything that you did not do and know nothing about....IT"S A SCAM!!!!! - NotFooled! They must be on a rampage considering these posts above were made in the last few days and even minutes. So this is a new number they are giving and a new scam. I got this about 4 months ago and totally ignored it. Nothing ever happened. If I got them on the line I'd say "come..I'm waiting for you". They will not show up. They are trying to scare you into paying them something.

- PepperI got a call from them... back to back with the exact same wording. She must be going down a list, and neglected to scratch my name off the list. I am so sick of these ppl. I filled bankruptcy which was dismissed in December 2011. Anyone who could be calling me today was on that list. What I need to do is be able to SUE those [***] for harassment. I don't want to start getting calls from all those old Debtors collection agencies and have to give them 'discharge' case numbers. They are calling my work number (they have no other number for me) and they always seem to call when I'm away from my desk. I had two calls yesterday, that were hangups, so I assume it was these folks. And I got a msg (and called back) on what I can only assume is another OLD discharged debt and I gave them my attys name and number. No one from that ofc has called me back yet, but I'm pretty sure they will in a couple of days, because he was none to happy to hear that I wasn't panicky or scared and mortified when he told me about the debt. He wanted over $800 for some original debt of $255, from back in December 2008 (I got that much info out of him before I would even tell him to call my atty). I kept asking the name of the company and he kept saying he was with "Legal Services". So I asked who was his client-- who I supposedly owed and he finally said Cash Central. I told him I didn't owe cash central or any other PayDay loan company, because they were included in a bankruptcy...which is when he asked for my atty name/no. I looked it up real quick and gave it to him. I'd better not hear from THAT particular company again...though I suspect all the others that were included in BK will start to call (trying to collect as much money as they can before the holidays). Anyway, pls share your stories on this page. This is how we help others not be scammed out of their hard earned dollars. Money is scarce these days, and those payday loans (by the time you default) have already been paid 3-4 times the original debt. I don't feel sorry for them at all. As a matter of fact, a lot of them work together and once you start with one and pay them off, and/or reloan, your name is out there for the rest of the bottom feeders (they share their lists) and then they start contacting you. I even had one company that I had a loan with call me up and tell me I had been approved for up to $400, and after I pd that one off (finally) they called (or sent email) telling me I was approved for $600. And once I took them up on that offer, while I was still paying off the first loan, they told me I was eligible for a second loan (two outstanding loans at once is unheard of with payloan companies) but I took a bite from that apple as well (I was in bad shape AND of course, the loans were making my situation worse, but I was in the "quick fix" mindset at the time...drowning all the time. Anyway, it's the ONLINE payday loans that you have to watch out for. They're slimy and unscrupulous. Hope this helps someone else-- PLEASE DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THE ONLINE PAYDAY LOANS...AND BY NO MEANS TAKE OUT A LOAN WITH CHECK N' GO. THEY ARE THE WORSE PAYDAY LOAN COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. THERE RATES ARE OUTRAGEOUS, AND THEY DON'T DO FULL DISCLOSURE LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HANDLED. Good luck everyone reading this. I guess I will sit and wait for the next call.
BTW- If you left REFERENCE numbers (family and friends) you can bet, they will be calling them as well...leaving the same msgs on their phones- which is totally against the rules/regulations of fair collection practices.
Something has got to be done about them and the way they are breaking 'collection' laws.- Caller: unknown- didn't say

- almost believedWe too got a call from this number, A woman threatened to "serve" me at work if I didn't call the 855-664-2102 Trinity Alliance Group LLC a "Marc Mananzano" said that we owed a payday loan and we had 30 days to settle up or go to court. Well we got them to fax us the" original paper work" with the account number and guess what the account numbers do not match " the original paper work they said they sent and the current paper work we got from him, also we declared bankruptcy in july of 2011 and he told us that we got the payday loan 5 days after we filed, and the papers we got him to fax us have a date of june 4 2011, when my husband confronted him he said well um it was a type o and the account numbers didn'nt match because they were different departments. I also got a call at work saying they were the FBI . Don't they know it is against the law to make a falsely imitate law enforcement. Monday I got a call from "officer Shawn Wood" he could barely speak english and he was from Financial Law enforcement saying if I didn't cotact him at 919-653-3350 That he would just wish me well as things started to unfold before me. It should be against the law for these idiots to call. They should also learn english so you can understand they're threats better.

- IS IT REAL????| 1 replyI just got a call from these people on wed. First a lady called me and said she was going to my home address (which was correct) to serve me papers that needed ID and signature and if she was unable to locate me she would go to my work address (which was correct). I called the number that she left right away and it was this legal dept. I gave them the case number and she put me on hold for a while so she could gather the hard copies of my case file. She got back on and read my pretty much my whole life story to me. She had all the information correct..address, bank information, SSN, everything! It was scary! Now, the thing is I DO remember taking out the loan that she is talking about, although I thought it was paid for. It was during a bad time for me, so I thought maybe it was correct that I didn't pay it. She offered a settlement offer, which I agreed to. I have a payment set for this Friday. I gave her my credit card info so she can process the payment friday (stupid on my end) but I told her I wanted paper work showing I owed this. I just got a letter today showing the balance I owe, but nothing from the courts. So, I decided to google this place and the comments I just read are scaring the crap out of me!!! What do I do???? I have only 5 days to make a decision!!!

- CWG40 replies to IS IT REAL????Don't pay any money to anyone in the absence of a debt validation letter sent to you by US mail. E-mail no good. Change out your credit card. Change out any account numbers that they might have.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a DIME until the debt is validated.
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.
