A pop up on my iPad said a Pegasus spyware activated.  Not sure if it’s legit.

Guy swore he was apple worker and gave me an employee ID and name as well. His name didn't match his accent and then asked me for my itunes code to fix the problem. Workers in the background as well that I could hear. I asked him what happened in Texas on the coast back in the fall and he had no clue what I was talking about and continued to assure me he was legit and not to worry! I hung up after googling this number. He told me not to because the virus could infect everything!

No, not legitimate - Apple does NOT cold call you.  This is a scam attempt.

I got a pop up on my Pinterest page to call. I did and I instantly had more pop ups appearing and they wanted me to open my iPad so they could access it to fix it. I needed to buy an iTunes card for each one and give them the security key.  When I called the tech on what was going on he threatened to make my phone shut down and it would be my fault not Apple’s.  I hung up.

I was on Pinterest and received a message down the center of my ipad that said I have a virus and need to call apple support immediately. When I tried to click "ok" the message wouldn't go away and just kept coming back. So i called & heard lots of ppl talking in the background, guy said they're in CA and the call was being recorded for security purposes. Then the details became suspicious w/the ITunes card and everything else he kept saying with such urgency!  My Ipad was overdue for an update so once i did that it, it was fine.
