Computer scam

I have had what I had hoped was a legitimate virus protection and several times they did help me, however, I can not get them to answer their toll free no. Have been thinking this has been an expensive scam.  Did today be able to leave a message to them and within a few minutes get this call from this 855-666-1979, not the phone no.1 800 867-1243 of my supposedly virus protection. Suspicious realize this is a for sure  a scam

left a message telling me my computer would be shut off. Definitely a naughty scam!! So cruel!! Did not call them. Never answer unknown caller #.

We continually get calls from this number. 855-666-1979.  SCAM.  So tired of all the calls even though we are on a No-Call List.  That No-Call List does no good at all.

Called and didn't answer, called back and they answered "Thank you for calling Windows". If this was the company for the Windows OS they would say Microsoft. SCAM!

these people have "forced" me to pay $200 in I-Tunes cards every single week. They have hacked into my system and continually shut me down unless I pay them. Then, they offered to "re-imburse" me if I send them another $200 security deposit.  I work for minimum wage.

They didn't "hack" you.  You probably allowed them into your system.  Why are you still paying them?

For crissake, stop paying them and take your computer to a brick and mortar shop and get it fixed.  What are you waiting for?  You going to continue paying them the rest of your life?  Jeezuz.

Some guy with an accent, sounding like he was maybe from India, trying to tell me that my computer service will be terminated. I told him "No, it's not" and then hung up and blocked the number. This is a total scam. Do not fall for it.

Got call from number855-666-1979. Did not answer. Got message that said that my computer would be shut down if I didn’t call this number back.

Save your important documents and pictures on a usb drive & have your computer restored  back to the original state by a reputable company or do it yourself,to remove their software and they won't be able to keep getting in. Im hate when these people take advantage of people that don't know.

(888) 666-1979. Recording said call number immediately because computer service about to be cut off. I have Spectrum full package with burglar alarm, etc., plus Wi-Fi and cable. No possibility being cut off. I called back number, got human being. I said, "I know you're a crook and I am going to report you." He hung up.

Computer scam.  They want to plant a virus and have you pay to remove it.  Another scam from India.
