These people with very heavy Indian accents have called 3 times wanting me to give them control of my computer

Heavy accent sounds Indian calls once a week telling me that North Korea and Nigeria is trying to break into my computer to get my e-mail, he wants to get into my computer and fix it, after he is in your computer and finds all hackers it is only $500 to fix it.

I called number in an email from "Microsoft" and person with heavy accent answered but didn't state he was from Microsoft. Red Flag!  I talked a second or 2 and hung up. He called back and it just didn't feel right so hung up again.

Microsoft does not send out emails.   SCAM. SCAM.  SCAM.   COST MONEY TO FIX FROM LEGITIMATE TECH.   Indian accent.   This sucked

My 78 year old Mother was victim of this today.  Froze computer and posted "Danger" message.  She called and gave credit card to "fix" the hackers which would invade wifi, phone, TV, and computer.  Just give $300 for one year $700 for five years.  So she paid for one year.  Asked to leave computer on and open to e-mail page.  Luckily she mentioned and credit card has been stopped and a new one was reissued.  Had professional at point of purchase restore and clean everything off of it.  Now we can't get wifi to work and I am having issues with my computer. She called back on a different number (looks like it is possibly from a land line in CA) and claiming they are from Wide Arc, which I can't find anywhere.
