Just received a call from a women saying I would be served today 3-5 and wanted to make sure I would be available and would need two pieces of id.  number on caller id was unknown but left a number for me to call 855-666-8851 with a case number.

They are fraudulent or bogus collectors trying to intimidate you into paying on an invalid, time-barred or purely bogus debt. DEMAND a notice of validation by mail. NOT e-mail or fax; as per federal regulations under the FDCPA. They'll start making threats & excuses, thereby proving they're scammers.
Process servers NEVER call ahead of time. Process servers NEVER deliver messages, especially by phone.

My boss got a call today for me from this number with a case number and the guy said he was d.w. Something or another law firm about a criminal charge of a bad check for an old installment loan. Tried to threaten me. I told him to bring it on.

I got calls on my cell phone from D.R.W. & Associates telling me that I (or my attorney) needed to contact someone asap about a court case against me (they said the case was in Brown County- which is where I live).  I have access to looking up any court cases filed in Minnesota, so I checked, and there are no pending cases involving me.  I ignored them, but they kept calling....one time they said there was a possible fraud case against me. One time the guy said this is 'Joseph Schwartz' calling.   I blocked the number so they couldn't call my cell phone any more, so they called my Work Phone!  I told my co-worker, and he called them back for me. They asked my co-worker for my social security number and stuff, but he wouldn't tell them anything! However, they already have all my personal information!!!!! They recited my full ss # to my co-worker.  This is scarey, and it's causing me lots of anxiety!  My co-worker told them not to call me at work any more. They must call people from multiple numbers, and tell different scarey stories about things that are going to happen to you if you don't call them back. If you search D.R.W. & Associates online you will find multiple complaints and stories involving several different phone numbers.  This is very stressful for me, and I wish they would just leave me alone!!!!!!!

???Scareware??? 855-666-8851 is listed as contact number to a "bug alert" type tab that freeze Chrome browser if not immediately cancelled from fully opening. Claims to be www.windows-security-alert.com. It usually triggers when you try to enter a secure https or check-out shopping cart links that it then reroutes to the big freeze.

I had a same situation as AvG said, 855-666-8851 is listed as contact number to a "bug alert" type tab that my computer was infected by a virus after I installed Windows v10.  The "alert" warned me that I should not turn off or re-start my computer otherwise my programs and data will be wiped by the virus.  The only way is to call 855-666-8851 for IT support.  The guy whom I talked to wanted me name, billing address, phone number and email address.  He refused to answer me why he needed this information or the name of his company.  Finally, he said I needed to pay $99 for something he never told me.  I had to disconnect the phone call.

The site hides the owner behind a proxy service.
This means you don't know who they are and where they are.
Yet they want money from you !!
Do not give them any information.

I was searching a web site and when i searched a video that i had uploaded a couple years ago. I was only doing this out of curiosity. It was because the site had a reference of my video description. When I clicked on the search Icon I got a pop up with this number and a voice over stating my computer was infected and to call right away. I could not click this off. I shut it down and restarted and it was still there. I repeatedly clicked esc. Until i could sneak in and click the site off. Now I am doing a scan.

I got a pop-up looking at a picture on a site. I wrote the number down and immediately performed a full scan with AvG. There were 4 bugs on my computer, which I fixed. Out of curiosity, I called the number. The woman who answered spoke so softly that I could not hear the company name. I told her vaguely what happened and she assured me she would help clear the bug by asking me questions. I asked her what company she was with and suddenly, the line was once again muffled. My pop-up said it was Verizon+wireless+internet and asked her what that meant. She said that Verizon was my Internet carrier. I told her she was wrong. She said, 'Oh, is it AT&T?' For fun, I said yes. She said that Verizon and AT&T were connected. Nope - that's not right. I said so and hung up.

I called for some fun and outright told them that the Internet company they are claiming to be from doesn't exist in Canada. Told me he was from India. I called him out on his phishing scam. To which he replied how can I scan you from India? They must think people are really stupid. But I like to have fun with these guys.

I had this on my computer when going to/ trying to load a website. I restarted my system and had no problems. These guys are just a scam

I just got the same thing. I had to go into the task manager, and shut the internet explorer down, and started a virus scan. Nothing was detected, but I already figured it was a fake virus alert. I think they wanted me to call so they could get my cell number, so they could f**k with me. I treat this the same as any other scam attempt, because that's probably what it is.

Its an indian guy dang try to get on my computer n then hang up the phone scare the hell out me im like wtf r u serious n i take out my power n plug back in take me awhile to connect back to my internet he turn on many thing in my computer network to get in wtf indian guy

Hey, I had this happen to me too. I was so scared and stupid I actually let him get on my computer. We got disconnected and I immediately shut down my computer and turned it back on and deleted the Safeway Support download. He called back and said sorry for disconnecting and tried to tell me I couldn't use my computer unless I bought a subscription of safety features. I told him I didn't understand like 3 times and he got frustrated and just hung up. I ran a full security scan and it detected no threats as of now...I'm hoping he didnt [***] up my computer...!! [***] INDIAN SCAMMER!!!!
