Called, saying my mortgage company received a call needing information from me. Also, they did not sound like they knew what they were doing on phone. They got confused when trying to read me a different callback number.

They asked me the same thing except he said he was from Equifax and wanted to update my file?

Yes, I received call requesting I provide permission to current mortgage company to talk to them.
HA!!!!! I don't think so. Plus, I need to understand clearly the  person I am speaking to without have to repeatedly ask them to "say that again".

I also got call from this number saying they're from Equifax Mortgage Solutions and need to verify information regarding my mortgage application file with VU Home Loans. As soon as i said i'll call my agent to verify, they hung up.

I got a call from this Number stating that his name was "Bob" (which clearly it wasn't due to the heavy Indian accent), saying he was calling from Equifax Mortgage Solutions.
The rest of the call reads like this: I am calling in regards to one of your pending loan application with Veterans United Home Loans and your loan processor has requested our company to verify some information on one of your accounts with "my actual current mortgage company". we did call the creditor to get information but they have requested that you authorization from you. I would request you to please give our company a call and complete the conference call........" and it goes on with call back information like number and a company code and reference ID....like what the hell is a company code? They are going to all lengths to make it sound legit. I immediately got on phone with my loan processor which denied ever asking anyone to verify information. That's what the documents are for.

SCAM!!!!

I didn’t answer, but listened to the message.......it could have been the same person others described. Foreign accent, mumbled about a conference call needed with a bank that l no longer deal with. Since l am in the process of buying real estate l called the number. It had SCAM written all over it. It’s either a coincidence or scary as l spent a lot of time on the phone today with my lender. Letting them know tomorrow.

I got a call yesterday and this morning from 1-855-676-9070 stating that his is Ashrin (Indian name...)  I am calling from Equifax Mortgage Solutions. This message is for (my full name) I am calling in regards to one of your pending loan application with something Veterans Loans. They have requested an update on behalf of Flagstar Bank who will not give information without your consent, etc....He gave me a different number to call them back at 1-800-395-6440 Use 4653. Please use Reference number for this call 59227618. You can call us back, etc....

This is a legit call verified with United Veteran's Mortgage.  They use this service to verify the status of a current mortgage when you are applying for another.

Just received call from this number as well. Asked my for husband, kept telling the person what is this for. Finally he said this is Equifax regarding my home loan I a doing. Really couldnt understand him with the accent he had. East Indian I would say.
Had him tell me more and he said that my lender wantes more information and that we could do a three way call, and if I would be available now to do this.
Told him that my loan is done and I am calling my bank.
And hung up.

Indian accent gave him away immediately after he was requesting information..Called saying he's with equifax mortgage solutions. Wanted to conference call with me and Homesite mortgage, whom I'm trying to obtain a loan from, to verify information.  I messed around with him for awhile asking questions about my loan with Homesite...ha ha ha

Weirdly I got a call from this number saying he was from First Advantage calling for an employment verification for someone (name is unknown to me) and to call him back at 631-359-4564 with a case reference ID of 191295200,

I work as a manager at a Domino's. Got this call on our phones and immediately checked this site. I got a female who asked for my name (I gave her a fake one) at the end and also the country code is 8 for the callback number she gave

Said he was from forge wondering did i work in 2017 for a company

Woman from India - wanting to do an employment verification over the phone.  She was given the fax number, and repeated it to me.  She also wanted to know my name.  She didn't identify herself or her company, and I'm suppose to give her my name?

Very Indian -cannot understand him.... here is the scam - verifying previous employment.     Hi, my name is Adrianne. I'm calling from pro shipment that we had to talk to you about I'm gonna vacation company. I'm calling to verify former employment for Edward Smith, please call us back at 631-259-4564 and I'm calling us back please refer to the case ID number 214110592. Thank you. And have a great day.

Received this call asking for employment verification.  said she was a third party verification company.  Could not only understand most of what she said.  Called the number that called in 855-676-9070, there was a message about some company and if you know the extension to dial now, if not please stay on the line... then it disconnected.   Not calling back..  Employment backgrounds should be either emailed, faxed, or be able to understand the people who are calling.

Heavy accent man calling from First Advantage. Asking to complete a credit check. He was reluctant to answer my few questions. His English was very broken. I sent him to our junk phone line. He left a mumbled message asking about a past employee.

a guy said he was from forest or first advantage asking about a past employee. said i can't disclose such information, he kept prying so i said have a nice day and hung up. beware it's most likely a scam and he had an indian accent.
