I looked this up, and texted back for them to remove me immediately as they hadn't provided me an option to opt out which is required by law. I also then went to the FTC and filed a complaint. I urge everyone else to do the same thing so that the squeaky wheel can get the grease and take this company down.

I'm a new Verizon customer. I never got spam texts with AT&T. Grr.
At least the spammers were smart enough to make it recognizable English:
You were chosen to receive a cruise to the bahamas for 2! Call 855-679-0019

I got the same message and I am a Verizon wireless customer!

It's awesome, but I think it might be better not to say, "you have reached the FBI."

You could try to use an official-sounding but fake name.  For example, "You have reached the Medium-Yield Nuclear Suicide Drone Launch Automatic Call Locator Hotline.  Your location has been automatically determined, and a nuclear detonation will occur at your location in [robotic voice] 2 minutes, 37 seconds."  Then, give directions, in pure, incomprehensible double-talk, on how to cancel the "strike" if the call was accidental, and if not, how the caller would like their next-of-kin to be notified of their loss in valliant service to the country.

I've actually never used a recording like this and don't intend to because it might get me in trouble.  But it was a lot of fun thinking about it!

7/1/2013 I received this TEXT on my VERIZON phone too, same message.  I have a bb z10 touch which is pretty sensative and dialed it accidentally...I was at work, so when I heard the tinny voice and realized I called it, I just hung up.  I sure hope I am not charged like a few of these posters mentioned.  If this seems Verizon related, I think it should be reported.  Our numbers may have been breached?

Just received a text from hstowuv@cruisegiveaway2013 with proper English stating "You have been chosen to receive a Bahamas Cruise for 2! Call 8556790019". From what I'm reading, there's no reason for me to call back or reply.

I recieved a text from qkyxqvrocok@cruisegiveaway2013.com.  I looked up number on Google and immediately added this to the many others.  The phone number was (855)679-0019.
The text read exactly as the following ,except # was a link:
"You've been chosen for a cruise to the Bahamas! call 855-679-0019"

Do Not answer or reply to this!  Unless it is person with a "You've been chosen for a cruise almost to the Bahamas!"  Those boats have heavy anchors, lots of drunk, stupid, ignorant, or sea related accidents. People go missing all the time.

Ask for Jodi!  They are a call center in Canada, representing a Florida Company.  They say they are Atlantic Marketing, but I can find no such company.  I am calling again to find out what "Florida Company".  Holly answered this time...Carribean Cruise Line.
