- John| 1 replyReceived a call from a Sam Conner who claims that she works for Comcast and was offering me a promo special of $79.99 per month for 2 years and with no contract. However a bill would be sent to me for the amount of $480.00 which would cover the 1st 6 monts $480.00 and thereafter I would be billed $79.99 per month starting the 7th month thru the entire remaining 18 months. I called the 855-679-0359 number that she gae me and they answered Comcast Infinity and the mans name was Jack. He told me that I would receive my bill for the $480.00 in about 10 days and that I would not have a penalty for the cancellation of my exsisting contract with Comcast. Sounded to true to believe.

- Reluctant| 2 repliesI just received a call from these idiots! 9/1/15 at 5:33 pm. I got the same message that my bill would be $79.99 a month. It was very hard to understand the gentleman's accent. The line disconnected after I said I couldn't understand him. I called the number back on caller ID and it said Comcast Loyalty Rewards Department. A gentleman with the same accent answered the phone. Asked for the telephone number associated with the account. I told him Comcast doesn't ask for this information. He then told me my number. Then asked for the last 4 of my social. I said I wasn't comfortable with it. He said never mind and hung up on me! Called Comcast to file a report and they confirmed it wasn't them. Called the number back again to see where I get this time. Pressed 1 to speak to someone in billing! Got the same guy. He said that he spoke to me 30 minutes ago! He was beyond ignorant. Wanted the same info. Mocked me that I wouldn't give him my social. I asked his name and he said Michael. I couldn't understand him and he proceeded to get even more ignorant. This is a scam! Beware!!!

- TomMan w/accent from 'comcast' said I was eligible for a two year contract at $70 p/month that would include all premium channels plus sports plus top internet speed if I would pay the first six months in advance ($420) - he would send me a Net Spend card which I would then take to Walgreens and put $420 on it and then use that to pay comcast. He then said that he was required to verify my Social Security number which I refused to give him.

- ArmandoI believe that this scam is originating overseas with Comcast's nocturnal staffs on the other side of the planet. I have had the X-1 Platform in a multi-level apartment bldg. for 1 year of HORROR. Apple devices freeze up, t.v.'s freeze up and the so called "account executives" are most often being paid for how long they can keep you on the phone with your problem. Absolutely ridiculous service on all points. Hey maybe it works for some people in a single family home but here there are 144 apartments in one high rise with steel apartment doors. The Gateway modem router is a piece of crap I had an Apple Airport Extreme, (that suddenly and suspiciously went dead from a sudden 20 second power failure), that worked flawlessly. In work from home and have noticed a slowly down of internet speed even though I paid for a higher tier. I am sooo happy that their Time Warner deal fell through their telephone advisers are either too talkative, do not listen well or do not know what they are talking about. We apartment dwellers in this situation are stuck with Clowncast.
